Shows little ambition. That squad, without major upheaval, should walk back up. Will people want to stay and play for him?
i know neil ,very charming man ,but i just dont see the manager in him at this level to get promotion ,he has done sterling work with the youth at norwich and won the youth cup ,i see this as a failure as such,it was a chance to appoint from many available ,for his sake i hope he does well but i just cannot see it sorry neil.
Personally stu i hope they get gumped twice by ipswich, and lose out on promotion for the love of ipswich, mick mac will take them up next season, norwich can go to pot for me but nowhere near in the same extreme as the nags
well yes as i have said before itfc are my second team as such many, many happy night games when robson was there happy times, and a truly great team
sorry mate, missed your reply, might have a dodge, i'm not really welcome there though as i'm ipswich, they dont get the banter
Decision may be due to money concerns? I don't know what contract he was on but it does seem like they've gone for "safe".
Terrible decision. I hate it when our fans talk Bally up for the permanent job here. No just no!!! If he wanted the Sunderland job hed have left to be a manager elsewhere ans proved hes worthy of it.
He does know the club inside out and did coach the youth team to a cup success last year, they also laid a fair amount on players last July who just did not perform. Not a rich club so maybe they just cutting their coat to suit. It's just part of the manager lottery, so hope he succeeds.
