i do think people will get behind the team and manager as soon as the season begins - its natural for that to happen - but i don't think its unreasonable that so many fans are dismayed by the announcement today because it really does feel as though we are missing a huge opportunity for whatever reason.
I agree, he's our manager now, lets give him the opportunity to prove us wrong, every new manager has to start somewhere, we don't know what he'll be like in the Championship, it may be a good level for him!
Too damn late now Supers - that opportunity has gone. I'm actually effing speechless - I'll be cheering the team on in the games I do decide to go to next season as you don't lose the passion - like ever - but the crap's been kicked out of me once too often recently and this has pushed the last bit out I'm afraid......
lol, but carrabuh do we know whether Adams is going to be crap in the Championship?, we don't do we?, sure he struggled against some of the top teams in the PL but given his experience that was to be expected.
I'd say there's definitely more chance of that than us "blowing all out money and sitting near the bottom". Definitely
timing is everything in football. as i said before, had we been relegated two years ago and were about to embark on our third straight campaign in the championship, this decision would have been greeted totally differently but from where we've just come from and gone through, to me this decision can only be viewed one way - limp.
I'm not annoyed Neil Adams is in charge. I'm far more annoyed (in fact ****ing furious) that we have people in charge capable of coming to that decision. It is mind boggling considering how badly burned we got when we done the same thing before and how incredibly lucky we were to get out of it.
So there bloody should be, but our ****ing board members should of made sure this discussion wasn't even happening.
