Another simple question..... How happy are you with the way RD is running our Club? 10 = Very happy indeed 1 = Pretty pissed off really AllHell
I give him two for the work on the pitch. A few useful signings and Peeters impressing and he could shoot up to 5 or 6. Far too early for this sort of poll.
Voted 2 has been shocking, only good things are the training complex and the pitch, but if the latter hadn't been done we would have received sanctions from the league. No contracts for first team players apart from Jackson, scouting network a complete and utter joke, not giving Riga full time job despite doing well, I don't like the fact that he owns multiple clubs as he can't focus on them all we are lucky we are second fiddle imagine being a fan of one of his other clubs.
Gets a 4 simply because it looks like the pitch & Sparrows Lane are having much needed cash spent on them. If we look at the playing/management side very much a 1
6... Neither concerned nor happy as the current season doesnt even finish till this Weekend... Ask me again in August
6 Expected the low majority though Who went 10? And why? I can't think who on here would have done...
I don't see any new training complex. He'll get another 2 points from me if it actually gets done, and 2 more if we get Category 1 Academy status. But words are cheap. And the best Academy and development facilities in the world won't help much if we are in Div Two. Crewe, who knocked us out of the national title deciders, do a wonderful job with youngsters. But their first team yo-yos between Divs One and Two, and probably always will. Not knocking an emphasis on the youngsters. It is the right approach. But it cannot be the only arrow in our quiver. We have to, at the very worst, keep the club in the Championship to continue attracting good youngsters. And there is work to be done to ensure that happens.
One of our regular posters said that he looked forward to supporting Charlton in Div Two playing in front of 6000 "genuine", "non-plastic" supporters. Perhaps he was one of the "10" voters?
I'll go a five. The pitch and the academy get a much needed cash injection, we got a manager who kept us up. However, that manager has now gone, and the players who have come in have by and large been Little or no use. Must do better.
Far too early to say, currently I am about a three (RD is making the infrastructure better), but in a month or so I hope to be a 9.
I voted 4/10. The events of the last few days have left a bad taste in the mouth. Riga deserved better.
This poll is proving one thing... There's some right wind up merchants out there, or some real loons...
It's the latter. Also manifested itself in recent seasons with the following - "Curbs has gone stale" "Les Reed will be a great Premier League manager" "Pardew will get us in the top six with financial backing" "We are lucky to have Powell, he will go to Arsenal next"
