Don't believe that for one minute mate, I've just got this horrible feeling that most of us are going to be completely underwhelmed. Can't explain it, just a gut feeling #malky
I'm glad they are taking their time over this, I have never understood an approach of getting someone in ASAP. I really do think if Mackay was first choice he'd have been in by now and announced. There could be mixed preferences from within the board.
Well considering Delia's choices in he past (Rioch, Hamilton, Grant, Rodent, Gunn etc), I think she should just let McNally decide
I wonder if they're trying their absolute hardest to get Lennon in, but he's (unsurprisingly) playing hard to get? He's certainly gone very quiet since early last week. I'm not convinced he's worth it if so. I'd be happy with any of Mackay, Zola or Lennon - each has clear weaknesses and strengths. I still think Mackay is our best bet for promotion this season though.
I think the person who can retain the most of our squad (probably Lennon), make them fight properly for the team (Lennon/Malky) and play good possession driven attacking football (Zola) should get the job.
Bookies still heavily backing Mackay... and I don't buy the argument from some that it's not Mackay because it's dragging on for more than a week. Even if he is the preferred choice, a fortnight is not a long time in any hiring situation even if he is unattached. Both sides will have their demands that could cause delays.
I agree. We may well be in a tussle with W Brom which would explain the difficulties. Or it could be that there are some details to thrash out in the contract. Or there may be some trouble working out who his team will be. Any number of reasons.
Hi guys, as a Celtic fan I have been lurking on this page for a few weeks wondering about the chances of Lennon heading down to Norwich but I have decided to sign up after a conversation with a trusted Scottish journalist. Lennon will 100% be leaving Celtic, strain in relationship at board level and Lennon feeling that he wont be backed enough next season to take the club forward. Celtic have already started sounding out targets and one of the first they have spoke to is McKay who has told Celtic unless anything changes he is off too Norwich. thought it was interesting information and the journalist in question has very good links within Celtic. Good luck for next season and I hope there is a manager in place at your club soon.
Thanks fella We seem to have developed a bit of a link with the Bhoys over the past decade or so, with Lambert, Peter Grant and both Lennon and Mackay all previously been part of your club, one of whom will hopefully become our next manager and will hopefully follow a similar path to success as Lambert rather than that of Grant.
I'm quite pleased the decision is taking such a long time, I'd rather it wasn't rushed and we get the right man for the job.
It's either them or us I suppose. Thing is he is friends with Mcnally and I'm not sure he would like to go straight in to the PL especially a side the is sliding like WBA. This could be why it's taken a little longer....... I hope so.
