I don't really know anything about him. Is this good or bad?

I don't think he's one to jump at giving penalties which is good.

He's also middle of the pack for card, I wish he dished out a few more as derby are a very very cynical team, they will foul on every fast counter, similar to Barton's clever booking in the semi.

I was worried about Wigan cheating and they tried it, I'm worried about the ref not booking derby for cynical fouls.

He was the one who sent Derry off v Man U when Young dived.

Also, wasn't he the one who disallowed Hill's goal v Bolton - maybe that one was Atkinson?

As long as the fixture doesn't affect his beloved Bolton it should be fair.

I seem to remember him doing us over when we were in a relegation scrap with them, not sure if I'm thinking of Derry or something else.

Pretty sure it was Derrys sending off at Old Trafford, and he is a Bolton fan who we were battling relegation . I remember it well as I was sitting right in line of the incident. Not only did Derry not touch ashley tom daley young, but he was offside in the first place.

I dont think Ive seen Mason have a good game ever, so we'll need to be on our guard for sure.

Pollock was the lino. I have a negative vibe towards Mason, probably from his Bolton connections. Wasn't happy when I saw the OP, hopefully it won't matter.

As has been mentioned he was the ref that sent Derry off at OT for Youngs triple axel with 3 twists and a double pike (ok made that last bit up).....

He was also the ref at Chelsea last season when he bottled sending off Marin in the first couple of minutes for a horrific tackle on Mbia and then ignored a 2nd bookable offence on him when he did a blatant shirt pull on SWP to stop a quick counter attack.......

    Other than that he's okish......

Hey maybe subconsciously he might feel he owes us one and gives us a break.

No, we need red shirts and to play in Manchester for that.

Lee Mason is about as uninspiring a referee as one can get right now.

The FA have it in for us by appointing this cheat for the final on Saturday! Everyone may as well lump £££ on a Derby win and Barton to be sent-off.
