I've just seen a reference on twitter to Norfolk Dapple Cheese, I've googled it and it gives limited information, I am very fond of strong cheese, but I've never come across this one, does anyone regularly eat it and can you give me some pointers on taste and texture please!
The deli at the Budgens I work for has plenty. You'd probably be able to find some at most decent deli shops.
Our local spar sells it (Blakeney) and of course Picnic Fayre in Cley, if you can afford to shop there
On this website: http://www.cheese-plus.co.uk/other/1496/norfolk-dapple-smoked/ http://www.cheese-plus.co.uk/other/1495/norfolk-dapple/ Can order by filling in their form, or calling I think
The Cheeseman on Norwich Market stocks it. Don't think he does mail order, but he may have a mate with a campervan who's visiting the West Country this summer.
I've just had an email from Ferndale Farm, they are going to send me a 250g wedge, vacuum packed and invoice me for the cost. Brilliant customer service!
I'm enjoying sheep's cheese, Paski Sir, from the Croatian island of Pag at the moment. It really is totally divine. Also one called Otočan, which is a mix of sheep and cows milk. None of which helps the resolve the original question, of course
