I'll be keeping a close eye on Ismail Mohammed's Lawman's Thunder, who runs in the 7.50 Kempton tonight, for the rest of the season as I think he's a horse that could potentially keep soaring through handicaps. A horse with a Royal Hunt Cup entry to his name, this 4 year old has been raised a combined 18lb for comfortable success in both starts since switched to handicaps and he could well be the yard's next Educate for whom they had so much success. He's still only rated 83 so that may sound a bit optimistic but he hasn't been at all troubled in handicaps thus far and there may be plenty more to come from him. Although I won't be a backer at 11/8 tonight given he has to shrug off a 12lb rise upped in grade, I'll be a very keen observer as I feel if he records another impressive victory tonight then top class handicaps/Pattern Company shortly awaits. He may have just taken advantage of two sub-par all weather handicaps and only time will tell. He's probably the horse I'm most interested in from a progression perspective for the rest of the flat season.
nice one Boil and cheers Stick with its antics at the start i was hoping they would with draw it but it got up !!
ditto that jameser, did herself no favours at all but did the job well in the end and is a really nice filly
If Nass is around could you tell me anything about the Olly Stevens new comer Peace and War at Salisbury tomorrow thanks
"I like her and she's very similar to the Royal Applause filly in that she shows plenty. She was very stocky at the sales but when she arrived here she was quite light, probably due to the travelling and everything else. She'll be early enough and could be one for a five furlong Ascot fillies maiden. We think plenty of her and I can see her getting six soon enough". Bought at Keenland for 300,000 and a half sister to three graded race winners in the States
As stick noted, she is a horse they like and cost plenty. The yards juveniles haven't been firing this season so far. I hope it changes tomorrow with her and The Paco Kid, before Foxtrot Knight runs on Friday.
Cheers Stick i'll be at Salisbury tomorrow evening so shall get a good look at her, as for the res of the card any pointers or info greatly appreciated thanks
You might want to have a few quid early doors (ie now) on MAGIC SHOES 8.20 7-1. First time in a handicap and up four furlongs!
scumbag bookies at it again the snaff job of the day Lawmans Thunder, went off 3s on betfair, went out to 9/4 on track and cut to 13/8 right before the off for no money daylight robbery
Oooh he's very good. Have to admit I jumped on when he went out to 9/4. Disgrace he went into 13/8 in 10 seconds before the off. The reason why Queally won so well on him was because he's definitely being aimed at the Royal Hunt Cup and he'll need to be 95+ rated absolute minimum to get into that. He'll go up at least 10lb for that.
joke m8, took 6/4 last night for a serious punt, should have been collecting at 5/2 hopefully he sneaks into the hunt cup then, group horse in a handicap
