Could this fella be brought in for cover to Mannone? There was no doubting his quality, and if fully recovered. Craig Gordon insists he has no intention of accepting a player-coach role next season after three years of injury hell. The 31-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with a return to Hearts in that capacity but stressed today he has received no offer from any club and is only interested in playing. Gordon is determined to return at the highest level possible after two years out of football due to a rare patella tendon injury. He has undergone three operations and countless injections and believes he is now ready to resume his career after leaving Sunderland in 2012. http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.c...raig-gordon-wants-to-play-not-coach-1-3414100
Yes ^ although Ustari seems to be getting restless. There`s always the worry of another injury breakdown with Gordon. Too much of a risk imo.
Most of Gordon's injuries weren't his own fault to be fair. A free transfer on low wages - 15k a week and/or pay as you play? (I cant see him asking for more than that). I'd take the risk.
Given his age and the amount of time he has missed I think he'll be after a confirmed no. 1 shirt so that rules us out. Regardless, wouldn't have him back - once you've gone, you've gone. Would welcome him back as an oppo keeper with a round of applause but this one's not for me.
Hope he comes back and seb stays, won't have to piss about with a new banner then In all seriousness, not for me either.
Now Ustari looks unlikely it would make sense to keep him, if he doesn't want to sit on the bench then tara.
Probably one of the worst pound for pound signings we have ever made, he was poor from day one, no thanks, we move on.
