Mcgalshen and Izzi Mcloed would be very good players to bring in.

Really, both players have the odd good game, McGlashen is no better than Weston in my opinion and I'd be extremely disappointed if he joined! I think we should try and sign Danny Green from Charlton, done really well at Dagenham, poor at Charlton but Peter Taylor is a manager that a lot of players get along with!

I saw Lines play a few times when he was at Bristol Rovers and techinically he is sublime. Would be an excellent signing in my opinion and is without doubt good enough to play for a more reputable team than Gills, but that doesn't neccessarily mean we wont get him. A signing like that would make a statement.

I think we should be making as much effort as possible to try and sign Jennison Myrie-Williams. We could really do with a player of his quality on the flanks and his ability to cut inside and take a shot can really cause the opposition teams problems.

Trying to catch up on the events of the last couple of weeks I can't see us signing anyone who costs very much, Bayo and Whelpdale have offers on the table but I get the impression at lower rates so they could both be on their way, Lee, Weston, Gregory, all had contract discussions but the gap between Taylors and the players value was too large for an offer to even be tabled.

The above leads me to believe we might go for players who are young with potential, old on the way down, unattached with no competition for their signature.

I'm not too worried, Taylor has said he's going to play the long game in regards to transfers and I believe for a club with our budget its the right thing to do, sign who you definitely want and leave it late to snaffle some players who may have thought themselves above playing for a team of our stature, but with the season looming and bills to pay can have a sudden change of heart. Peter will know he has work to do on transfers but honestly I don't think the offers to the players you mentioned is a bad thing. We probably offered them what they were worth-not very much and they thought themselves much better. Think this is what Taylor meant when he said he may go back in for some players, once they get back from their holidays and have no missed calls, they may well want to take reduced terms as I don't honestly think any of the players released will sign for much more money than they were offered here.

Yaya Toure might be available - we could probably afford to pay him for a couple of minutes - might just be enough.

Would be a great signing and somewhat of a coup if we came to us, because of that i doubt it will happen!!

What happened to Chuks Aneke? Would be great if we can get him in as a replacement for Bayo.

Just saw Luke Caldwell tweet about the Loft talks so I'm going with the no smoke without fire viewpoint here! Great signing if we get him, went to watch the Gills as a Kid and apparently his dad is a big fan so a move back might make sense! Without disrespect to Vale they seem to have peaked somewhat as they look to be losing players and Mickey Adams has threatened to quit so it might be appealing for Loft to come home on a nice little 2 or 3 year deal with a club that could be sniffing around the play offs in the next few years.

Ant Dog - I believe he returned to arsenal at the end of his loan deal but he may have been released by them I'm not 100%

Looking on Wikipedia ,Loft was born in Maidstone and attended Gills matches with his father. It's been rumoured for a while that he wants to come back south, anyway. Be a good signing for us,and possibly captain.

Loft would be a very good signing, and he can play in three different positions.

Loft is exactly the player I would like to see come into the team. Versatility level up.

Apparently his old man is a massive Gills fan aswell so hopefully that may sway it. Would be good to have someone of his ability in our side and he would be good for the development of Hessenthaler and Dack too. If he can convince his mucker Myrie-Williams to join us also, we'll be laughing.

Lampard to sign on a free transfer. Set to be paid £2,500 a week and given the captaincy.
