Staying at West Ham with 20 million budget.

    No viable alternative available..

    This is very bad news.

Not only because he'll likely keep them well safe, but it means we have to watch that dire **** for 2 games again.

Bad news for fans of all clubs, West Ham included.

20m is a decent war chest for West Ham as they will likely be competing for the same players as us. Let's hope Brucey finds a gem or two. Prozzy and Sagbo didn't exactly hit the league by storm.

I'll give him 10 games next season. If the hammers fans are revolting at that point I reckon they'll find an alternative!

Sagbo did okay but he is nowhere near the finished article and his positional sense is awful. Hopefully we can offload Prozzy this window.

When you consider who else Bruce brought in as unknowns (Valencia, Zaki (version #1), Rodellga etc) Sagbo has been a flop. He looked lively in the early part of the season and would be a decent Championship player, but I think if we cant offload him he'll be loaned out to a Championship team or back to France.

The only way they'll get rid is if the fans stop turning up in numbers, the owners will let them whinge all they want as long as they're turning up; WHU NEED to be in the PL when they make the move to the Olympic Stadium, Big Sam ? Nobody does it better.

Interesting that he's had to agree to appoint a new attacking coach and also sacrifice some control over transfers. Can't see this ending well.

Interesting that Sagbo has suddenly turned **** by virtue of my playing.

Up until the January transfer window many were worried at losing him for a snip at his £5m release clause as he'd been very impressive.

Long and Jelavic came in and he hasn't had a look in since, which in that time he has gone from one of the bargains of the season to a complete flop.

Usually it's the other way round and the longer you don't see a player the better they get, like those hailing Dudheon as the replacement for Figueroa. He's not.

I liked this because I agree Sagbo is under-rated, however I don't agree about Dudgeon. We've no way of knowing how he'll cope after 18 months out but he definitely looked good enough when he was fit.

    FFS...

28 Apps, 2 Goals. That's not good enough for a Premier League striker. He looks a handful, but so did Altidore.

Remember Sagbo in our first game against Chelsea, in my opinion he was part of the reason we didn't get battered as his hold up play was great, he showed a fair bit of skill and ball retention. He also had that wicked snapshot on the turn from 25yds.

He's still that player but he's in a queue behind Long and Jelavic. I just don't think he's a pure striker, he'd be most effective as part of a 3 behind one striker, which ain't gonna happen.

Goal ratios, the staple diet of those who can't make proper judgements themselves...

What I can't understand about Sagbo is all this playing him on the left. Has it ever worked? He's played there about 5 times and he's hardly had a kick every time. He's clearly not a winger but he doesn't stay central enough to be the main striker even though his hold-up play and shooting are good. His best position is probably up front with one of Fryatt, Long or Jelavic.

I can make a proper judgement myself and mine is that although he looks the part, he's almost never in the right place at the right time.

Nobody wants the job and the Brady bunch will remember what happened to Blackburn Rovers when they sacked Fat Sam.

I suspect that West Ham will be down the bottom area of the PL next season and gone by Xmas.
