Sunderland have agreed deals with goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and midfielder Sebastian Larsson, the Daily Mirror reports. The Black Cats have confirmed they have agreed terms with both players, but neither can officially sign until their deals at their current clubs expire. Westwood is out-of-contract at Coventry and Larsson's Birmingham deal is up on June 30, so both will officially sign on July 1. A club statement said: "Sunderland AFC today confirmed that terms have been agreed with Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and Swedish international midfielder Sebastian Larsson. "The players will officially sign with the club on July 1, 2011." Westwood completed a medical and agreed terms earlier this week, while fellow 26-year-old Larsson followed suit today. Manager Steve Bruce was delighted to tie up two deals he had been working on for several weeks. He confirmed the pair were two of three Bosman signings he had discussed wanting to make earlier this summer. Reports suggested the Black Cats faced a late battle for Larsson from his former manager Alex McLeish, now in charge at Aston Villa, but that has not proven to be the case.
Yeah bit late. This better not be your day job because frankly this is appalling. P.S you might want to report that we've signed a star of the 2010 world cup next week. His name's Asamoah something.
Tut Tut. This could've been written this morning, it's just taken a long time to post due to shocking spelling mistakes making the spellcheck taking forever. It's an excuse I'vve used before and will happily again.
