I told my son to ignore it and watch the game. What is bizarre is that I was sat in that area at the playoff semi last time round and some blokes had a fight and fell down the stairs. Morons then, morons now.
You're right of course. It does but that's no reason not to condemn it or to keep quiet about the group thuggery that happens from time to time which shames us all. It's noticeable that these so-called 'hard men' never actually get into a real fight -it's all about getting one or two blows in while they have a numerical advantage before the other lot regroup and outnumber them. Watch them run then. Pussies the lot of them.
I heard about this, I'm surprised it's made today's top 10 news stories though: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-27466506 please log in to view this image Police want to trace five men in connection with the attacks "Stewards were kicked, punched and pushed down stairs at the QPR v Wigan Championship play-off semi-final, police have said. They were targeted in the second half as they tried to remove a fan from the South Africa Road stand. Several of them were pushed and fell down stairs before being punched and kicked. The Met has identified five men it wants to speak to in connection with the 12 May incident at Loftus Road. The force added that no-one was badly hurt, but anyone with information should contact them."
Stewards have a tendency to be complete ****s. Chances are these blokes hugely overreacted and should be punished but chances are also it was instigated by a jobsworth getting involved when unnecessary.
I hate them legalised bullies always picking on QPR fans about time we stood our ground. Well done I say they might think twice next time.
Sound like a bunch if girls , how do know what the situation was ,? How do any of you know what was said and why people felt something unjust maybe happening therefore sticking up for their mate . ?? In my opinion stewards take it too far on match day so many times I've been told , sit down or stop shouting ! This is a football match not a kids playground . Passions run high
Apparently someone was using an e cig, he was asked to stop, refused and then all hell broke lose when they tried to eject him. Personally I think the police should be used for ejections because then the idiots have a choice to leave or go to a cell if you they resist.
I've found the stewards at LR to be reasonable and well trained. If you've been told to sit, Jqpr, I suspect it's because you've remained standing and blocked other's view. I appreciate that some fans would like to stand all match like the seventies and before, and personally I wouldn't have a problem with a designated area for standing. But unless and until that happens, stewards will enforce the law. Can't believe anyone reprimanded you for shouting in support of the team. May be you were shouting at a steward...
I do agree with you to to an extent, the stewards can honestly be twats at our place BUT its all about havin a bit of mutual respect for others around you. Worse sort of fan is the dick who stands up all the time, in front of kids and just throws f's and C's at the opposing fans, causing people around them to not enjoy a game that they also have paid to see. Is that your kind of support bruv ?
I suppose it's finding the right balance .... It's one of the only places where people of all kinds of backgrounds , any age from 3-100 , mixing slightly pissed people with completely sober people , and having such a charged passionate setting as loftus road .... What a place .
How about segregation ?? All the pissed and loud twats in one stand the family's in there own and the rest in where ever is left ?? That way every one is happy ...haha
Cant believe their are people on here who think this is acceptable behaviour. Everyone knows the ground rules but still decide to show absolutely no respect to fellow fans, the club and stewards. if you think this is justifiable behaviour then you need to have a good long hard look at yourself
