We miss this sort of team spirit massively I was at this game and has to be the best comeback I've ever saw. Are strike force was Hayles, Beadle and Cureton.

I was there. 3-0 down in the 1st half, home fans in the same stand as the away fans just the normal segregation in between. The home fans mocking us after each goal and then the come back starts. 3-3 at half time and boy didnt we give the home fans some stick. They were quiet as a mouse. Then they started again after going 4-3 up but to be made silent again at 4-4. It was so funny. Warnock was manager I think and he got a lot of stick too from both sides <laugh>

    I want that team back.
If we played them now, they'd murder us.
Painful to see how far we've fallen.

Don't want to put a downer on a positive thread, so I hope it feels like we'll be supporting that team again in the conference and upwards.

Stuart Barlow wasn't a bad player either. Prolific goal scorer for Oldham and Wigan.

    welcome popuppirate <ok>

both that rovers team and oldham would murder us and even the current oldham team managed by ex city lee johnson would murder us.

im sure though that clarke will get the players who want to be here playing for us and im sure they will fight for us. you will see a team full of commited players with fight and passion.

    Nice one guys :D
I believe we have to get behind our manager now. Triumph in adversity used to be our strength and I love rovers more now as recent events have taught me how much it means.
In the pre- internet days there always seemed to be a collective spirit amongst fans and players, these days every armchair supporter can jump aboard any negative bandwagon which rubs off on the terraces to the pitch.

Sure, we've had little to cheer in recent years and off field decisions have been questionable at best. But the belief of the fans and players in times gone by often made the difference. That belief enabled players to exceed their abilities at times.
The rot has to stop though and the performances of the team and ability displayed was, at times, shocking. Players performed way below their abilities and lack of decent signings was what did us in the end. Management 'issues' too of course.

Next season we need hunger from the club and players, give us something to believe in and we can make the difference again

dont disagree with that but majority of our fans have been quality and a real 12th man this season. the players didnt step up. our fans been giving everything when its been 4/5 struggling seasons on the bounce where each season has incurred relegation battles and 2 of them we were relegated! its now time for the board to step up and start getting things right. its time for the players to start getting things right as well as the manager.

i doubt while in non league that the great fan base that we have will accept another poor season <ok>

Interesting to know that a few clubs that went into the conference in the last 10 years have since been wound up <whistle>

I had forgotten what it was like to see a Gas team passing the ball to each other, instead of humping it upfield.

Not one of Andy Tillson's better games, but Hayles looked fantastic...

We havent had a midfield and decent strikers like that in years either.

Ollie, Penrice, Beadle, Cureton, Hayles and yet at the time we were a midtable L1 side and thinking that wasnt good enough.

    How times change.

That's why Ollie signed Ronnie Mauge.
