Merkel looks like another squad player to me. Not too bad he has gone, more streamlined now. Maybe we can afford Tozser with him gone? Maybe this had something to do with it? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...t_home_of_Watford_FC_player_Alexander_Merkel/
Lloyd Dyer, Leicester winger, to sign for us. Plenty of experience. A positive sign of things to come? www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/11219873.Leicester_winger_signs_for_Watford/
Lloyd is a great signing for you Not the best footballer in the world, incredibiliy 1 footed and reminds me of a sprinter trying to play football at times. None the less very fast and very effective in what he does End product isnt the best but if it was he would have been in the prem. One week he will excite you and the next frustrate the hell out of you Lloyd will always be fondly remembered by us.
What Proud Fox said. Plus he doesn't strike me as a leader, an inspiration, a motivator... but definitely a good solid signing. Pleased.
Sound like McGugan then. But hopefully he will be more productive and put in a darn sight more effort!!
Well we've been asking for players with championship experience, so here's one! I wonder what this means for our formation. Will they try to make him into a wing-back or will we adjust our formation for the new season. Back to the basic 4-4-2 or the currently-fashionable 4-2-3-1 Surprised he has signed rather than have a got at the Prem, but if it is for long term security, fair play to the lad
Good solid pro with a good attitude and work ethic ,to be to Nani this is a good signing , risky giving a 3 yr deal , but if thats what swung the deal then ok .
It did. Lloyd obviously doesnt want to leave here and we have offered him a new deal. We would only offer him 1 year but 3 years is a great contract for a 31 year old whos game is built purely on pace
Lloyd will be very good at championship level for another 2 years if he is used properly. After that it depends on if he can keep his pace. Other then running with the ball he brings nothing else But as I said. He does what he does very effectively
7 goals and 7 assists for Dyer... Not too bad a return Only Anya had more assists at Watford. Maybe those two on the wings will prove fruitful for us Pace was something we really missed this season
Interesting signing by the Pozzo's in that he will not be sold on for a profit. Also those that were hankering for Tommy Smith to return again as he was/is a free agent will not be getting that now.
Leeds and Blackpool have off-loaded a lot of players, Blackburn too...any takers for any of them? Some young and some on the way to the scrap heap! Boro have also returned loanees Graham and Chabolah. I'd have the former back.
When Graham and Chalobah visited the Vic this season they looked shadows of the players they were with us. Also, not sure how DG would fit in with us now and Chalobah managed to get the crowd against him with his petulant treatment of FF. Looks like another talent gone to waste. Too much money too soon maybe?
The general view from Foxes here is that Dyer is a good signing who they're sad to see go. Be prepared for pace and frustration in equal measures though...
Angella just put this on Facebook: "Waiting for the future. Thank you friends" What does that mean - he is off or just saying goodbye before going on holiday.
