Those nine barren trophyless years must have been hell for the Arsenal faithful. Full credit from the football community everywhere for their great unswerving loyal support. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you legends.
To be fair I met plenty of Arsenal fans both on the way to and after the game and most were fine, with a few congratulating us on how well our team had played. We even got some useful advice on which tubes to take via where, to make it to the stadium quickest. There was only one pissed up cockney t**t, who on hearing another congratulating us on our teams efforts, started mouthing off that we only played for 10 minutes, I just looked at him and gave him the old "whatever". He looked like he was going to come over and try and make something of it but his mate dragged him away. This was in Leicester Square at about 11 last night, while I'm strolling with the wife minding my own business. Silly t**t but he was the only one I encountered and we walked to the tube station after the game surrounded by hundreds of Arsenal fans without any bother at all. Just for the record, been and being for me. It's amazing how many people don't get their use right!
I always laugh when the media call Arsenal a 'club in crisis' for not winning a trophy for 9 years. Try being locked out your ground with criminal owners and struggling the bottom division.
arsenal fans need to watch......see you at wembley frankie walsh. also liked what Liam Rosenior had to say.
Poor Arsenal fans, nine years w'out a trophy, my heart bleeds. We may be in the same league as these deluded prats but unless they've previously supported the likes of Brighton, Donny, Wrexham, Wimbledon & York (+ others I've probably forgotten) they're certainly not from the same world as us.
we have been in the same world mate, have stood on the old North Bank on a cold wintry day playing in front of 14,000 against Sheffield United we were next to bottom and they were bottom, and I always remember the headline the next day and it was "14000, over the Arsenal"
What a load of complete bull****.When have Arsenal been next to bottom with Sheff Utd bottom ?Stop pretending you're an Arsenal fan just to wum the Hull fans.f**king pathetic.
I'm the worst speller on here ! As for grammer what the hell is a noun or a verb etc ? Hardly ever went to school once I went up to seniors No idea the difference between were / where .... Or where too / to should go In a sentance. My writing looks like Chinese . Exams took....none Qualifications...none Having said that I can make fishing nets n lobster pots faster then anyone In brid or Scarborough . And im good working on fishing cobles and inshore trawlers. Always had work since I was 16 ( PS. This is all pre 2007... ) I think grammar and spelling only matter in the type of job you do .
I honestly couldn't believe how ecstatic and graceless they were when beating a team that was in the bottom division 10 years ago. You'd think they'd just beaten Real Madrid. Poor show.
Scar, I would not worry too much about spelling and grammar. Text speak is killing written English. To be honest mate I dont know what has happened but lately your postings have got easier to read.
We encountered quite a high concentration of ****s around Wembley walking from the opposite direction, making out they'd been in the ground giving it the "big un's!". Approx 15/20 knobs (both lads & lasses) spouting off how "we were 2-0 up and we ****ED it up!" With extra vicious emphasis on the ****ED! When instructed to show some ****ing class, they looked confused as they obviously had no idea what the word meant. The percentage of good to bad, in my opinion, was 20% good, 80% arseholes. Good banter on the train from Wembley to Kings Cross was my only main highlight of the Arse fans
On several occasions pre and post match Arsenal fans verbally abused my 7 year old son, no place for that. We have travelled to all games including cup games this season and never come across such vile behaviour, Arsenal fans a disgrace to the Premier League.
We had a great day from start to finish ..... Had some great banter with Arsenal fans both before and after the game and there was one song which was struck up from nowhere on Wembley Way whilst waiting for the tube Was the Chant of Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocastle which both sets of fans started singing that was quite emotional on a very emotional day. The day was slightly tarnished by one Gooner on the train from Kings Cross having a pop at Brucie for being a **** manager but even then the other Gooners had a go at him for being an idiot. Great day and very proud of our team and City ... Well done lads.
