Total ****. Here's his details at the Uni of Bristol: http://www.bris.ac.uk/contact/person/getDetails?personKey=HEJFbuXObJa9OGkSLsJiEv0QXBHQk9 Smug f**ker. Yet another one who's not a Bristolian trying to impose his beliefs onto the rest of us actual Bristolians.
Looks like my link to Carstairs' publicly available details has been taken down. Never mind. You can all use Google.
It's not us bluebaldee. I read on the mod board that some links are doing it not all links though. Apparently a way around it is if a mod edits the comment without doing anything the link reverts back to normal. I try it now. The tech guy is sorting it though
I edited your comment by deleting a full stop at the end of your comment then added it back again and the link works for me now my end. Hopefully it should work your end now
He tried to operate behind a cloak of anonymity. He failed - just like his vexatious bid will. It's appalling hypocrisy as he clearly couldn't give a hoot about war memorials, he just doesn't want a supermarket near his house. Idiot. I've got a Sainsburys 5 mins walk from mine and it's bloody fantastic - I can get anything I want anytime - it's like having an enormous corner shop, very convenient. We are Bristol Rovers and we are used to adversity. Over recent years it has been an unwanted fellow traveller. This is just another small roadblock on our journey to better things - UTG!
If you had to draw a photofit of someone who raised that objection you'd come up with someone who looks just like that!
...and with that, the little Gasheads woke up to find 606 had been closed for libel by the filth and Kim Jong-Higgs.
Taken from the Post: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Man-la...stadium-plan/story-21098299-detail/story.html And this is the man behind it - Jamie Carstairs, who was a supporter of TRASH and told the Bristol Post he waited until he knew the group was not getting anywhere with its judicial review before submitting his latest application. After fighting off campaign group TRASHorfield and then being relegated out of the Football League, he has applied to English Heritage asking for Horfield's Memorial Ground to be listed as a war memorial.
I like this quote "With some care, The Memorial Ground could carry on being inspirational to future generations" Has this jumped-up twerp ever seen the Mem? I hope nobody is tracking this guy down for a meet...
Since when has The Mem been inspirational unless he's thinking of this Memorial Stadium please log in to view this image
It seemed to be inspirational to a lot of the away teams over the years, maybe we are just too used to it now? lol
at the bottom of that picture, you can see a stair case going up to the seats. that is packed. stadium looks packed. unlucky
i remember the days at twerton where twerton park was also known as fortress twerton. would be great to finish the season with the best home record in the league. before we move to UWE i hope we win the last game and score the last goal too at the stadium. did we win the last game at eastville?
