It's already started I see. Big cash getting splashed.

On the SSN banner right now.

Apparently our £1.5m bid was rejected.

One good season and an opening bid of 27 million. I know he's young and will only get better, but football has gone crazy.

At 18 if I was a 27 million pound footballer and on over 100k a week (which he will be if he signs) then I'd have self destructed. It's just too much, too soon for someone of that age.

I hope Southampton tell them to f*** off. It's a conveyor belt of talent, and they are now in a position to say F*** OFF, we're building a good side. Man Utd are ****ing nothing at the moment. There's no need for him to move for money at this stage of his career.

I thought they did not need to sell but they were saying on MOTD that they need to sell for the money.
Motd are not normally wrong with facts

    27m!!!

Fantastic young player wo is destined for the very top. But 27m is just ridiculous. Southampton cannot refuse that surely, its just too good a fee. The owners are rich enough to service their debts but it must be tempting to just take it and service 20m of it in one go (the rest being re-invested). I don't agree with the "one good season" reasoning as he will, if nurtured be very very good. 27m is pure madness though.

Overpriced but if Man Utd are willing to pay it I don't blame Southampton for considering it.

You never know, Ashley might jump in at the last moment and trump them all.

I see Liverpool have bid for Lallana today as well. Interesting Summer for Southampton ahead.

Wonder how long it will take Pardew and Charnley to make an offer. I'll take a bet on somehow the World Cup getting in the way of our "bids"......doesn't apply to ANY OTHER CLUB, but somehow it'll impact our "plans"..

They won#t get offered more than that for a LB imo. And the bid is so big to ensure that Soton odn't drag it out and the deal gets done. Absolutely it is crazy.

Then Pardew will be able to make 3 LB substitutions a game... excellent

I saw a headline that we're in for Andreas Weissmann and Fabian Delph.

I don't know about Delph but Weissmann is a player, willing runner, would be great alongside a player like Ba.

But ofc maybe we've put in bids after hearing that Aston Villa will be put up for sale...knowing that they won't sell at all given they don't know who the new owner might be.

I hate the way football is these days. Southampton have worked hard with these players and now the likes of Lallana and Shaw will get hoovered up by the teams with money and will likely struggle next season. So unfair.

If Soton had kept Bale, Walcott and their other, and this seasons signings they could have finished 4th !, Lambert and Lallana are overated players. Wilfrid boney is better than them two put together.

1.5m? ****ing Ashley gonna put the club out of business. We should be bidding no more than 45 chomps and 2 packs of space invaders... the spicy kind. No ****ing around.
