Hope what's not true? What makes you think he's coming here lukey? No mention of that anywhere in the article.
Well mainly I'm just going of the tradition of linking ex players back with us but I did note on the BBC article it says, "Alan accepted another club's offer and with due respect it was one he couldn't refuse," said manager Tony Burman. Which implies it is a bigger club than Dartford and also not just another conference club. So with him being 30 now most footballers of that age try to stay in the local area for their families sake which when combined I arrived at the conclusion he would probably join a league club in the local area. I don't know thats just me jumping to conclusions but maybe it could be something? Wouldn't be surprised however to see him go to Wimbledon, seems more his level.
Actually a return to Stevenage seems much more likey now I think about it seeing as Westley really likes him.
Just seen on a Facebook page that a Reading reporter has said we are interested in Lawson D'ath a young midfielder who Reading have just released.
Just been looking on twitter and rumours are we are interested in resigning Simeon Jackson, yes I know it is only twitter but Mcdonald and jackson up top would be quality
Nicky Weaver has been released by Aberdeen....back up to Neslon As already mentioned Scott Vernon has now been told he is not needed either. Wants to come back down South, if Bayo goes could be an option.
I don't think McDonald and Jackson would work. A lot of McDonald's poor performances were papered over by fans suggesting he plays better with a big man up front to feed off... Jackson isn't that big man!!!
Don't think Simeon and Cody would work. Simeon works better in a 4-3-3 and Cody needs a stronger partner next to him. Rowe would be fantastic but he wants to move back up north. Also I'm not sure we could afford his wages. Julian has signed for Sutton United so the door could be open for Jason Brown to come back.
Now that players have gone what do we need?? Wide left & Right 1 Central defender 1 Left Back Two central midfielders Back up Goalkeeper Striker (if Bayo goes) We basically need a whole new XI
I think a versatile full back so who can play both left and right is probably needed. Someone like Chris Palmer who offered that type of option. Obviously not him though. We won't keep Harriman and Borrowdale & Carter have gone so we need cover. It does entirely depend on what style of play Taylor is going to go for. If he wants to go back to his old 3-5-2 formation (which could work with the current team might I add) then he may not want wingers or out and out full backs anymore. Another 2 centre mids are probably a must though.
Could always get Marlon King back.......will have to wait another 18 months though. He's been sent down again today. What a waste of sapce!
We are looking at out of contract Lines from Port Vale http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-chris-lines-wanted-by-several-league-1-clubs
This link above went to the not606 home page for me brb. I changed the swear filter (to swearing from 'no swearing') tried again and still goes to not606 homepage...
After the release of izale mcloed from MK Dons. Can't believe nobody has linked him with us yet. Sure he's been linked last 2 years. Can see him rejoining MA at Barnet tbh.
Jermaine McGalshen has turned down a new deal at Cheltenham and its being said down there that he is joining us.
Hope this is true always looked dangerous and I have no doubt he could make the step up. I said when Barrett came in he could be what Frampton could have been (a organising captain who was solid at the back and was for our first year) and Ill say if we get McGlashan that he is what Myles Weston could have been, a quick little winger who is a constant danger giving defenders headaches and giving real width. Good signing if we get him but I won't get carried away!
