With Calgary-Tiger flying in from Edmonton. That got me thinking who else is travelling from overseas and from where to watch the final on Saturday. I have family travelling approximately 5600 miles (Joberg)
Three of us just arrived from the states. Two from Houston and one from Memphis. I am thinking of staying on American time as have to fly back Sunday to be at work Monday
Sitting in Schiphol waiting for HUY flight this afternoon, left Perth (WA) last night at 22.20 via Dubai.
Flew over Tuesday.....Vancouver, Seattle, Heathrow....nice 10,000 mile round trip financed largely by frequent flyer miles. Going back in two weeks after visiting family near Beverley. . Calgary and Botswana T might see you at the game. We're all in Block 219 or close. I'll be with my son. We're going to win ....and if not at least we can say WE WERE THERE!!!
Just got to my hotel Funny you say from Houston i go via there on Monday then back to Edmonton, nealy 16hrs flying time but only way i could get back to work for Tuesday, just glad its a public holiday on Monday or id have to be back then! Where you going drinking tonight?
Bit sedate tonight as staying outside of London with non-football friends. Will be decamping to central London hotel tomorrow afternoon so the fun can begin ....
Technically not an expat but I'm flying into Manchester on Saturday morning from Orlando via NY, cutting my holiday short by a week. Picking up my ticket from a friend then train to London, hotel, shower then out on the town! It's getting closer, starting to feel really excited now.
Bloody hell Im in awe. I thought I was coming a long way from Pompey!!!!!! Hell, its like a home game for me!
Some bloody amazing posts on here . You lot are awesome ...Have a brilliant time what ever the result and your so dam right that being able to say" I was there " is the most important thing.
That's totally out of order. Some people have to move abroad for work. How the hell do you know that they are plastics. They may well have been season ticket holders before going abroad. Are you.
Awful post. I doubt that any plastic would take so much trouble and spend so much money to get to a game. It is fantastic that people are flying in from all over the world, makes me feel quite emotional really. Us Hull people sticking together to support our team. Think all you people should get yourselves down Wembley Way tomorrow some time to be interviewed by the TV and radio stations, would love to hear from you.
I'll be flying from my kitchen on the main floor where the beer fridge is to my TV in the basement.. The game's on 16 different channels on cable here in Toronto. My problem is how can I afford to buy another 15 TVs before Saturday ? I'm envious of all those who can make the game live...at least my brother-in-law in Hull got to use my season pass to get down there in my place. He's a supporter, no plastic. He owes me one. Enjoy the match live all those who managed to get a ticket.....Tv ain't the same, but an adequate substitute for the real thing.
