No mate, Not me but I know who your on about. The b4stard ripped me off on that website, streams was ****.
He's the FGB is what he is. For those uneducated to the saying, he's the fat Geordie bastard. And the left side of his nose is 6 months pregnant. He is a bit thick too, how often has he not a clue about what's actually going on. He thought we'd finished in 15th place most recently, he often states the next game is against the wrong opposition, and I even remember him not knowing what day it was in one interview. Still, he's delivered great times and an FA cup final to this tough working class city, so he can carry on being a thick fat Geordie bastard **** all he likes, because it's obviously a recipe for success.
Sounds like something you should try every now and then as well. Such as this thread. There's no need for it.
Funnily enough I grew up on OPE and my Mum+Dad still live on there. Therefore I can state with certainty that you are talking out of your anus.
He's obviously doing it for a bet. He used to work in a Humber bridge reference into every interview, now it's this. Can't wait for what's next.
So what should he say? "Hull is full of useless ****s who are lazy doleies & just sit about drinking all day. These are the people that are robbing the government of their taxes & should be shot."
Can't believe what I'm reading on here calling Steve Bruce harsh names, the dinner lady one fair enough but come on for **** sake gents. Fair enough he's brought things up that 'maybe' irrelevant and that some on here are twisting out of context slightly to be fair, what's not to say he's not just being astute?
This place is a worse advertisement for Hull, though I guess most football message boards are the same anyway.
To be honest, I think Bruce just knows the type of stuff the Southern journo's lap up and simply tells them what they want to hear. Yes, he could say it is a city on the up - the fighting talk move would have been to say we've won city of culture, won the contract for the biggest wind turbine factory in Europe and now we're a city looking to add a win of the FA Cup to the list. Bruce knows though that doesn't paint a very good 'underdog' story and if anything, gives Arsenal something to fight back against. A clever manager would use the underdog tag and a 'these people don't have much going in their lives' line as an extra reason for our players to go out there and win it. Though I think Bruce has been slightly mis-quoted too. He's quoted as saying "it isn't easy living here", when I imagine he meant it as "it isn't easy-living here".
I'm sure if they interviewed any of us on a regular basis, and then just published the selected soundbites, we wouldn't come over half as well as Brucie does.
Sooner the Hull Boundaries are extended to incorporate places such as North Ferriby, Swanland, Cottingham the better. I too hate it when he comes out with the lowest employment bollocks, is that even a fact anymore? He should be talking about the good things about the City.
