Good to hear he isn't to down - http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/southampton/news/rodriguez-in-excellent-spirits_148938.html Real shame, was hoping he would be on the plane.
Smhbcfc This squad highlights why we will struggle to get out of the group, our defence and forward line is way to weak, and our midfield lacks pace and any creative genius ( Wilshire aside).
Your 2014 World Cup Squad. Was leaked last night Hart foster forster Johnson cahill jagielka smalling jones shaw baines Gerrard lampard wilshere barkley Ox sterling henderson milner lallana Rooney sturridge welbeck lambert
Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Wilshere Sterling Rooney OX Sturridge That would be my starting XI for the WC Future doesn't look to bad either, few patches but overall its pretty decent! Butland Walker Caulker Stones Shaw Lallana Wilshere Sterling Barkley OX Sturridge
I'd have -------------------Hart----------------- Johnson--Jagielka------Cahill-----Baines ----------Gerrard-------Henderson----- Lallana----------Rooney-----Sterling ----------------Sturridge--------------
I doubt we will get through the group stages. Still no expectations could help, but we are a million miles away from the top teams in the world. It is like Bristol Rovers playing Bristol City a non contest.
No Nasri in the France squad. Shows the difference between us and them. He would be in the Englands starting line up if he was English!
This is my first World Cup since moving over to the States, so I'm looking forward to seeing what impact (if any) the competition has in the American media in general, and how much live coverage there will actually be. I'm expecting to be disappointed compared to how well the BBC and ITV normally cover it between them. There are also some Hispanic/Mexican channels which might help though. So far, no World Cup fever here. Oh, in terms of the England squad? QF's at best, but may be lucky to even get out of the group. Hopefully Rooney won't insult the travelling England fans this time round.
