Well there wont be many odds for league 1 promotion until the league has a confirmed 24 teams but here is the odds for the teams currently confirmed in league 1 Sheffield United 12/5 Barnsley 7/2 Yeovil 9/2 Bristol City 11/2 Chesterfield 11/2 Swindon 11/2 Walsall 11/2 Coventry 13/2 (Courtesy of SkyBet) So again we are one of the favourites to go up. We probably wouldn't have been if Cotterill didn't guide us to the top half of the table and ended the season very strong. Shows how weak league 1 is next season, granted I think it will be stronger than the season just passed. Think promotion could be on this year but we were all expecting it last season only to be brought back down to earth with a big bump! It's only just finished but I cant wait for August!
Fingers crossed i certainly do not want to say we are relagation fodder. SC is a manager on a mission,i know for a fact he is hounding SL with names he wants for his promotion push
How do you know for a fact? Are you two timing Sod now? You're the curse of this club, every time you say we are going to do this is normally the kiss of death for the managers.
I put my money on us to win it next season a year ago I feel that my cash is safe and my investment will bring copious returns Now if only SL could adopt a likewise approach...
I'd rather our be dark horses as far as the bookies go, rather than one of the favourites. Having said that, I think the effect that SC had on the team in the second half of last season should certainly give cause for optimism. As always, so much depends on transfer business over the summer. We all know which areas of the team that need strengthening, whilst we deperately need to hold onto the likes of Baldock and JET. A good pre-season is essential too, and like when Botswana was on the schedule a year or two ago, I remain to be convinced how beneficial that will be (in footballing rather than PR/community terms). This time around, we should definitely be at least challenging for a play off place towards the end of next season.
