    Well done to Benfica and Sevilla on reaching this year's Europa League final. Just showing my age, but I have had a soft spot for Benfica ever since the 60s when they ruled the roost in European football. The BBC were trying to up Juve again with a little feature on their football page today. Wonderful to see the team that was supposed to make way for them, turn them over. As for Sevilla, they have had to do it the hard way. Not sure, but if Sevilla do win the trophy, it might deprive Atletic Bilbao of a Champions League place.

    Man City's FFP sanctions are being reported (on twitter by the PA's Martyn Ziegler) as follows:


    • 21-man CL squad instead of 25
    • 60m euro fine over 3 years
    • no rise in CL squad wage bill allowed

    Same for PSG. Actually seems quite firm.

    They have until the end of the week to accept or appeal. You'd think it's likely they'll appeal, but nobody knows (not even Platini) how strict or lenient the appeal panel will be, so they might be wary of going down that route.

    Does seem quite harsh. I wonder if the 60m will have to come out of the football revenue pot and not just be paid direct by their owner.
