Well that was massively disappointing, seemed to travel well enough but did not pick up at all, maybe the ground or maybe just another Hills Oaks filly down the drain.
Not as disappointing as Lady Heidi - ran no sort of race at all and finished stone last. But fillies at this time of year can be notoriously fickle, so expect both to turn in world beating performances next time

Utterly love Maarek. It's been years since he has travelled that well and he definitely hit the front way sooner than ideal. He roughed it out extremely well though. 12s was an amazing price and it was an excellent performance conceding the 5lb Group 1 penalty. The mud master is back! Clever Cookie was really impressive winning the opener too under a very cool Graham Lee ride.
That Is The Spirit is undoubtedly a Group Horse in the making. Value for more than the bare margin of victory and to do that under top weight was an extremely impressive performance. Very good day indeed.
