If you want more members maybe I could put out some invitations on other boards - just a thought. Basically we need to say you are only in once the money has been transferred and stress that we have a selection committee of 3 who will determine the selections. It must also be stressed that there is a strong likelihood that the money will be lost so no digs/abuse if we lose. Obviously the contributions do not need to be the same from everyone. Basically we would be allocating £1 shares and each member could buy as many shares as they want with any winnings being calculated based on the number of shares. I think to avoid too much admin we should have a minimum number of shares.

Not sure if we can accommodate members who do not have on line banking as fast transfers would be necessary. As soon as funds are received the person contributing the funds is to be added to the Group. So the treasurer would have to administer the group. This has the benefit of confirming receipt of money and confirming the bet placed. Any queries should be PMd to Ron and Oddy. Any communication with the treasurer must be copied/forwarded to Ron and Oddy.

I would be happy to put in £100 provided we have sufficient members to make it worthwhile

Just had a look at Groups. We need to set up a Group, type Invite Only. The only people who can invite members into the group are the person who created it and moderator(s) of the forum plus administrators. The creator will have to be the treasurer who receives the money and places the bet. On receipt of the money the treasurer will update the list of members in the syndicate showing the number of shares (pounds) and invite the contributor into the group. The contributor, by joining, will then have access to everything posted in that group. When the selections have been made they can be posted on the groups board with the proposed stakes. If the selection team need more selections than they have determined between themselves they may invite another member to select a horse in a specified race or ask the members to nominate horses for them to look at. The final selections made will rest with the selection team and the bet placed by the treasurer. The treasurer will then post the selections on the group board together with proof of the bet.

Please indicate below if you will be contributing and how much. Please, only add your name if you intend to fully commit and are happy to transfer the money into an account designated by the treasurer.

Who would like to volunteer as the treasurer? I think it would be better if it was a UK based member.

No fees are payable to the treasurer or the selection team. But I would suggest that, in the happy event of winning the jackpot we can agree on some reward for those putting in the work.

The treasurer may be one of the selection team but does not need to be. Although it may be more efficient to have as few people as possible in the administration loop.

    I'm in - £100 this week.

To be honest I won't be sinking £100 a week into this bet though.

I agreewith the general stance one off for now , I am more than willing to take any position and give 110% for that position but be warned I know I cant walk on water . Infact im lieing I have no intrest in being a treasurer I have to much paperwork as it is and wouldrather give my trust inthat aspect.

£100 quid? On getting six horses to win? Even permed... thats far too much, even for a jackpot meeting.

Only having 3 horses per race means you would need to put out Circa £1400, and that is for three horses a race!!!

    How about -

    This week only =

£25 per stake in the syndicate, you can have as many stakes as you like. All the money pooled on Friday, and when the races are decided we decide the staking method (given that the fields aren't going to be massive this week) and allow someone to give the permutation strategy.

From there, the three who select the horses can go to work.

    Yeah that's fine.

I'll choose some horses but happy for others to get stuck into that process if they want a go.

Like Ron was saying, im happy for it to be based on %. Ie i couldnt do £100 this week but id happily do away with £25/£50 and would adjust my return(if any of course) based on that.
