Or perhaps he doesn't get into them to give them an option to play him in. He's undoubtedly got a lot of talent but has been well short of both form and confidence since he came back from injury. He did look a bit better today but if you can't play well when possible selection for an FA Cup Final is at stake, then there's not much hope really.

I do hope he can get back to the player he was and perhaps Wembley might be the right platform for him to start to do that, as it was in the semi!

I missed the first 30 minutes finding a bar that was showing it.

Ended up in a bar PACKED with toffees fans, ****ing full of em, great lads the lot ranging from whipper snappers to coffin dodgers. I'll be honest and say I didn't expect to find so many abroad or find such a volume without a single plastic (they were all from Liverpool).

They made MoM, proper fans, had some proper friendly banter, laughed together at all the Liverpool plastics with southern accents.

    Koren
    Fryatt
    Rosey

    Make up the rest.

Bruce and McShane were both just ****ing diabolical. I pray Chezzy makes it next week (unlikely) but Bruce especially is ****ing **** and has no place at this level. McShane today was he McShane of old, scary ****. Lets hope his injury hasn't taken him back in time.

Using that logic none of the first team players should be getting a look in for the final as they've all been utterly ****ing ****e since we beat the pigs at Wembley.

    Really ****in ****.

In fact this past month has been a total ****ing embarrassment to be honest. No pride or professionalism and no desire to even make it look different. Footballers are ****s.

we've won 2 league games all season with Bruce starting - it's becoming embarrassing that he keeps getting picked - I thought Macca was ok in the first half although he tired and was at fault for their second - Quinn played well and was MOM for second game running - offers much more than Meyler - I'm afraid Fryatt works hard but isn't up to it - too much of a gap between midfield and the forwards - we seemed to race to half way and stop - play tappy tappy across the middle and then don't seem to know what to do with it - putting Bruce in the centre of a back three is utterly woeful - hopefully theres a mini clear out in the summer - I expect Faye, Figgy, Koren, Prozzy, Fryatt, Sagbo and hopefully Bruce to be on their way out - unfortunately his dad has given him another 12 months - I don't expect any team to ask about him so I expect we're lumbered with him

Not sure about subs making the top 3 although we did seem more incisive when Koren came on.

Elmo - just for his success in crossing as usual. The fact we have no one to head them in isn't his fault and he's obviously told to cross it constantly.
Huddlestone - did alright on the ball and made some good tackles/interceptions
Davies - generally good as always but I haven't seen either of the goals agsin which might have been his fault I dunno.

Elmo - seems to be our only player willing to run with the ball at speed and take on defenders...some nice crosses too.
McShane - strong first half on his return...aggressive in the tackle....tired understandably early in second half
Thudd - usual strong presence in CMF and made some good attempts on goal...a class player.

To a man they were all dire yesterday, the only player showing any energy at all is Quinn which is why he got MOM. After that Matty did well when he came on but I can't select a number 3!

If as Brucey says the FA Cup Final as played its part in our below par performances over the last month, then lets hope he sorts it; I don't want to be hearing more of the same when we are in The Europa League next season.

    Bruce <laugh>

I'm not voting for anyone, in the past week I travelled to Villa Park, Old Trafford and the KC, so I reckon I've put in more effort than the players.

In fact, I vote myself MotM.

Koren (Did well when he came on)
    Rossy ( " " " )
    Huddlestone.

Quinn did OK, but hardly impressed, sorry to say not EPL level.
Elmo is probably the most consistent performer.

Don't understand praising someone for crossing the ball into nobody. It is exactly the same as playing a pass into a space where there isn't a player. Nobody would want Huddlestone to play a cross field ball that bounces straight out just because a player 'should have been there'. All the best wingers will only cross when there is a good opportunity to do so, otherwise they will cut inside and look to get a shot on goal, or hold the ball up and wait for team mates. Unfortunately Elmo has zero flexibility in his play and seems unable to do anything apart from taking big touches and then whipping in an early cross.

Because he's obviously told to do it and he's doing his job in doing so. Your criticism should be aimed at the game plan of constant cross bombardment with no one in the middle.
