Most of us want England to do well in the World Cup but I admit to you all, my 2nd choice is Brazil, I have always loved their total happiness when they play. Who is your 2nd choice or first to win...? please log in to view this image
England, then the team who deserve it the most (bearing in mind that that team might also be England)
This won't be popular but after England (obviously), I would like to see the Germans do well as I have some great friends in Dortmund. I can't see past a Brazil v Spain final TBH, that would be a belter!
wales if they made it just to see ROD happy. they what? they didnt qualify?? seriously?? oh well 2nd choice would then be any african country. no country from africa has won a WC so it would be nice to see some change.
Agreed. I have admired the German way of always being up there without having the 'noise' that the other teams have. Their work ethic remains strong even when conceding - they keep disciplined and efficient - doing the basics well I agree, Germany would be my second choice too - but a VERY long way behind England of course! I have also spent a lot of time in Germany and I really feel at home there - love the beer, the sausages and their fests. Great country, great people.
Surprisingly England is my second choice I always want them to do well as my wife and boys are English, and we will have our St George bunting up in the house. The media are the ones that stop me supporting them, but this time they are not insisting that the country (Britain) gets behind England at the moment. Once they start saying we all should get behind England my interest drops. I've come to realise that I won't ever see Wales in a major comp, so is adopt England as my second team
Belgium or Ghana for me. I like the Belgium team as its full of premier league stars and Ghana for our ALBERT!
Being in South America, general feeling is that this will favour the latin Americans and it will be difficult for another country to win. Chile are purported to have probably their best ever side right now and at 40/1 could be a decent punt.
First choice Brazil. Second choice Chile immensely skillful, but prone to comic over elaboration and held back by forwards who make the difficult look easy while the straightfoward has to be the opposite. England? If poor technique and mediocrity progresses beyond the group stage it will not encourage the root and branch change needed to improve the poor standard of football development in England.
