May 13th (today) 1997. The last game at Roker Park.

It all started with a game against Liverpool, and finished with a game against Liverpool

    99 years old.

Started watching in the Roker end, but the clockstand was the heartbeat Because of the low roof the crowd volume was magnified and once a Sunderland player got possession the Roker roar was started there, building up as he drove forward.

    Will never be replicated.

Who was the best player, SAFC or opposition, you ever saw grace the turf at Roker?

Best player for me... couldn't choose between Tueart or Watson (Never saw Hurley play and Todd just before my time. SKP comes very close though.

Loved Roker Park and in hindsight wish we could have rebuilt there. SOL is a great stadium, but IMO even at it's best has never created an atmosphere to compare.
Anyone at Roker Park the night we beat Man City in 73 will have the same fantastic memories.

Too young for the 73 lads. Probably Gabbiadini. Loved the Dennis Smith years just before I moved to Manchester.
