http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27386066 Its been confirmed, he won't be getting a new contract. He was one of the best defenders in the premier league in the last 10 years. Good luck to him.
We're making it sound like it was his decision when it's clear the club didn't want him anymore. Cheers Rio. One of the best in his prime.
Vidic, now Rio. Looks like you're getting the much needed make over afterall. just need a manager now...
He's another I think you need to shift on anyway. It may sound like I'm taking the piss but I'd have preferred you to keep these players TBH. Maybe not so much Vidic as he was your best defender.
Would not want Evra to stay as first choice, his defending has been poor for 2/3 years now but feel he is passionate about United and we are fast losing players from the dressing room who are like that. I see nobody in the team now that i can envision speaking out at half time and giving bollockings to team mates who are not preforming, all i see is Rooney who just sulks if things don`t go "his" way. We are seriousley lacking in leadership in the squad.
He just won't have it that the club made the decision to get rid of him, he prefers to pretend he made the big decision himself. http://5mag.co/sport/football/rio-ferdinand-letter Should have at least give a chance to say goodbye.
Delighted at this news, he doesn't deserve a new contract with the way he behaved during Moyes reign. He's also way over the hill. It's about time we gave the likes of Smalling and Jones a long run in the side at centre half, and given time I believe they'd come good. They just need that chance, with the same partner week in week out. It never works flip flopping your defenders every game
God I hope not, dont want him on analysing any games Can you imagine "And here if we freeze it innit this defender gets merked" Joking aside he was gobby twat on twitter under Moyes reign, tweeting who is next to be fired and bollocks like that. He shouldnt be doing stuff like that
