Haha I'm not sure I follow or understand your post, but way to keep the metaphor going! Classic example of Laudrup's lack of managerial sense are the two games at Old Trafford. Won the FA Cup game with panache, lost the league game without even a feeble whimper. No good being in all competitions at the expense of the league. Laudrup loves his cups, has at every club he's been at. Some might say he has an obsession with cup competitions. Shall we hire Laudrup back as our 'Cup Manager'? I have to say that the Home game v Napoli was a sign to me that some vibrancy had returned and we should have won the away game, which would have a gloss on the Europa League campaign.
Seeing as Jenkins asked Laudrup to sack his backroom staff/coaches etc, I'm assuming that it was them who he felt were responsible for "eroding our club principles" and Laudrup's refusal made him complicit by association.
