simon, what i was getting at that IF he leaves NCFC for a premier league club in the summer, which is quite possible, then he as every chance to get back in mext season. clearly if he is in the second tier, no chance.
And so, it begins: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...d-for-Norwich-City-goalkeeper-John-Ruddy.html RE. the England squad, he's gutted: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-at-missing-out-on-england-squad-9357758.html
Whilst on the topic of international squads, both Snodgrass and Martin have been left out of the Scotland squad as they're not fit enough, and have been playing through that to try and keep us up.
This is something I can never get my head around! If Hart gets injured or sent off, the other 2 goalkeepers have a combined total of 7 caps between them! Hardly fills everyone with confidence. I don't understand playing Hart for the friendlies, give the other goalkeepers some experience!
Shame for Ruddy, I think the truth is there is not a great deal to choose between the reserve keepers and he was the unlucky one. I do find it strange that Forster is seen as a better option given the level he is playing at, which I would say is lower end Championship. Put it another way, why was Hooper not heralded as the great striking hope when he was banging in goals for fun at Celtic?
Anthing over £6M and I'd take it, Rudd is a more than adequate replacement and that kind of money would buy a decent Championship defender
Foster is Hodgson's bum chum. Woy only likes certain teams and players. Anyway England will only play 3 games.
World cup? just a waste of time we wont even get through the group; Enjoy time with your family then come back to us JR
