When you look down that list, it does make you wonder why people get annoyed when we dont do well. Becoming a very average team. I am not moaning, i am gonna enjoy following us in the world cup :)

Of course, he had slipped my mind. Good shout. Did well last year when he played and made some outstanding saves from what I can remember especially in a game vs Liverpool if memory serves me correctly.

Let's face it whatever Squad he picked someone would have complained, at least he is not going down the "Old School" route, I doubt if we will do that well, just wondering if we will see the modern trend towards possession football with no result, or has Roy got another plan? There is no harm in wishing every success for the enterprise being shown. Even if our lads don't get much on pitch time, the honour of getting there in first place is an outstanding achievement. Well done the three musketeers all for one, one for all.

With the exception of Lampard perhaps, you have to say Hodgson has been pretty brave in getting rid of the old guard.

David James, Michael Dawson, John Terry, Aaron Lennon, Peter Crouch, Joe Cole, Robert Green, Stephen Warnock, Gareth Barry, Matthew Upson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jamie Carragher, Jermain Defoe, Ledley King and Emile Heskey were all in the last world cup squad and won't be going this time. I wonder how many other teams have changed as much?

Yeah it puts into perspective quite how bad this squad is doesn't it?

... and also JRod being asked silly questions, and dealing with it well, we have some decent guys in our Club, but you didn't need me to tell you that!

On Sky, Peter Taylor talked about a player who did impressions...Then added, 'Him and Ward-Prowse, very entertaining.'

Spain could change their whole bloody squad from 2010 if they wanted to!

The England team peaked a few years back, but have been uninspiring lately. Always good enough to qualify, but lacking players that could get you really excited. I admire Roy for investing more in the future...if you are going to lose, better to go down fighting whilst giving youngsters experience.

Roy name checked Jay as one that was unluckily injured and was in serious contention for a place in the squad.
Who's place do you think he might've taken?, I reckon it would've been Milner.

Poor Jay, but gives him encouragement for the future. Certainly hasn't harmed our players being at Saints...even Schneiderlin called into the 40 for France.

No way, Milner's one of Roy's favourites (and with good reason I think).

You have to be honest and say Lambert. Although between the two I'd have taken Rickie, mainly because it's his only shot, Jay will get his chances starting next year.
