Possibly. Forster is equally deserving of a place, and you could even argue David Stockdale is too.
I have my reservations about Ben Foster though, if he makes it in I'll be disappointed.

    It's Hart/Foster/Forster according to reports.

A real shame, but I am not surprised to be honest. He has looked better in recent months, but he was shaky at first due to slow recovery and for all the truth in being let down by defenders, a goalkeeper has to shoulder some responsibility. If you compare his stats to Vito Mannone, you'll see that Mannone made substantially more saves.

Well that's knocked his transfer fee down by a couple of mill.

Not really surprised to be honest, hard luck on him, but maybe the price of relegation. :(

It will have no impact on the price Norwich will be prepared to sell him

I think it probably will, particularly if he wants to leave. Can't say I'm surprised. He's looked an average keeper this season. That said, Ben foster has looked an average keeper his whole career, so what's the issue...

It's not what you want it's what people are prepared to pay, always has been always will be. He might not want away, in which case you'll have the best keeper in the championship.

Not sure that's entirely correct, Monarch.

    Errr.... no.

That's not how it works, especially when we don't have to sell.

Well I wouldn't say Ruddy is either. I had him down to go at the start of the season but it's fair to say relegation is going to seriously harm someone's chances of making a World Cup squad, especially when they were hardly guaranteed to go in the first place. Shame for the guy though as this was probably his last big chance.

Standby sounds about right to me. Very unlikely but you never know one of them could get injured.

I am a little disappointed. I genuinely think Ruddy is a better 'keeper than Ben Foster.

Other than that, it's almost the exact squad I would've picked. The only other difference is I would've gone with Carrick over Lampard.

As good as Forster is, he's only ever played at equivalent to Championship standard. Nowhere near international standard opposition (the obvious exception is a handful of champions league). He hasn't regularly played against international class players.
Hodgeson's main problem is that he only ever plays Hart (even in friendlies). Therefore, back up keepers are never likely to get any International experience.

I'm not sure what chance he really has. He's the same age or older than two of the 'keepers that made the squad, not to mention Jack Butland will probably become Stoke's first choice between now and the Euro's, with Ruddy playing at least one of the seasons in between in the Championship. He'll stay on the fringes, but I'd be willing to bet he never makes a major international tournament squad. Not saying it's impossible, but it's hard to see at the moment.
