Just to throw out there......the last time Liverpool finished second, with a great end of season run, they ended the following season in 7th <whistle>.

Because of what DR says. You've spent a lot of money so should be up there in the top 4. I don't understand why everyone is applauding you for such an amazing achievement in coming second

Well the 'have you ever seen Gerard win the league' song survives at least 1 more year. ;)

That slip may well be the defining moment in his P.L career. He probably has another couple of years to try and win one but it'll be tough.

Genuine question - If Gerard never wins the league, can he go down as a true P.L great?

Granted it's a team game but performing and winning at the highest level is surely what separates the very goods from the greats?

That's not to say all P.L winners are greats of course. Demichelis has a P.L winners medal now where as Zole didn't.

    Tough one.

A new chant by our lot at Cardiff yesterday:

On your feet on your feet Steven Gerrard, on your feet on your feet I pray, on your feet on your feet Steven Gerrard, and you'll win the Premier league in May.
But you slipped but you slipped Steven Gerrard, and you gave Demba Ba the ball, and he scored and you cried Steven Gerrard, and in May you've gone and won **** all!

    I'm in Shanghai!

It sold out in a flash but there was a section of about 100 seats that was a bit empty. Think it may have been away season ticket holders that didn't go. But it definitely was a sell out.

Probably sold out when we had a chance at winning the league there. When the game became a non event, a few probably laughed off a trip to Cardiff.

Got to love that. The inventiveness of the English fans is what we have above most others IMO even if the turks etc are relentlessly loud.
