Did anyone else hear Pinocchio on Sky Sports this morning say that Liverpool may not want Borini back 'cos "he's not their sort of player."? He also said that he'd be costly though. Sorry, just clutching at straws here...
I'd pay about £7m for him. He's scored some very important goals but he needs to score more than that to be worth anymore.
I think that's about right. We won't get him for that and I think he has his sights set on a Champions League team. I don't think he's good enough for that but I don't think he'll be playing here next season.
I think he will be here at least for one more season. If Ellis and Gus show ambition and bring in 4-5 quality signings he may just think he can get his wish for European football. Not CL of course because that's still four years off
Think you might find it difficult now that Liverpool are playing in the Champions league next season, Rodgers might well need him in the squad rotation, but if he is surplus the I'd snap him up.....
Hope we get him Liverpool may well want the funds a Borini sale could provide to help bolster their defence Whatever happens he's been fantastic for us, and played a massive role in keep us up
I thought I heard somewhere that we we prepared to loan him to you for another season - could be wrong, but I'm sure I read/heard that some where today.
I rekon he would set us back 8 or 9m we should pay it. The lad has been a big player for us this season, we need to keep quality players like Borini and add others to the side you get what you pay for and I personally am sick of seeing us sign plodders
To be fair to the lad, he's scored 10 goals in a team that has struggled all season which isn't a bad return IMO. Hear what you are saying like but in a better team or a team playing well I reckon he'd get more.
