My Wife was due to have a Baby on Wednesday and still no sign so im touch and go at the minute, its driving me mad!!!
Just go to the final. I wouldn't recommend going to the birth. Both of mine were horribly traumatic -- it's enough to give you PTSD. Particularly if it's a Caesarian and they ask if you want to see your/son daughter being born. Avert your eyes.
Thanks Fez and thanks everyone for the advice, my Missus is telling me to go no matter what situation we're in but still got a week so staying hopeful Junior will make an appearence.
I wouldn't have swapped being at the birth of my son for anything. No apologies to football supporters for this. Good luck Mike. I hope you manage to get to both.
Are you the guy that missed the semi "just in case" and stood in a queue for 7 hours waiting for the final ticket and was gonna run across the field to Hull Royal if your wife started in labour whilst stood in the queue? If so good luck mate home baby comes before next Sautrday!!
Your lass and the bairn are the be all . . . . . . Football doesn't even get close; and I bloody love football.
i missed the semi as it was my daughters 9th birthday. Fez has it right, it's a different kettle of importance.
A few years ago a womans waters broke outside st marys while queueing for Pompey tickets. Apparently the Father sent her to hospital and said he'd carry on waiting and to "call him if he needs to go". He ended up getting tickets and making the birth. I believe the club also gave the child a 'season ticket' for life. Sorry to butt in a bit off topic lads but somewhat related to a few comments in here, oh and good luck at Wembley by the way, been rooting for ya since the semi draw
