    This will play out one of 2 ways:

    1) We sign him, he proves to be as bad as Ricky van Wolfswinkel at Norwich and just not able to adapt to PL. We looks like mugs.

    2) We don't sign him, he goes on to be golden boot of Europe for the next 3 seasons. We look like mugs.

    Being half fit and playing in a non-performing team hasn't helped LDJ, but like so many other strikers from the Dutch League, he's struggled in the PL.

    He could still turn out to be half decent given a chance, but he needs to be fully fit and raring to go, a good pre-season would help.

    It took the great Dennis Bergkamp a while to acclimatise to English football.
    This season turned out to be a good for Wilfried Bony, but it took half a season before he found his true form.

    I think if he does sign it will mean that Pardew is remaining in charge. If Pardew is sacked, I don't think we would push a deal through until the new manager is in place.

    I'd rather see Pardew go now and wait for any signings till the new manager came in and he could pick his own players.

    Yeah I think he's better than what we've seen thus far hes been playing in a team with zero creativity anD aS you say half fit. Its difficult to judge him properly at the moment other than looking total pants at times with the odd decent link up play.



    What's the news on gomis he's looked beast when I've seen him this season.

    There were whispers (now gone quiet) that it's all but a done deal for him to come here.
    Hopefully he won't have watched us play in 2014 otherwise he's never come.

    Maybe we said come here for six months, have a run out, do **** all so no-one else will be interested then we can go back to your club and say looker, he's ****e, we'll give you £3m and a giant sports direct mug to take him off your hands?
    They sell up, we save £5m and you get a 10% staff discount card if you score 15 goals next season. Everyone's happy!
