Sunderlandâs win over West Brom on Wednesday guaranteed safety for the Black Cats and condemned Norwich City to relegation from the Premier League. Adams believes that Sunderland had their fair share of luck in the last few weeks with regards to the circumstances in which they faced some of the teams. "The circumstances they had their games have been vastly different to when ourselves have had our games, but it doesn't take anything away from them", Adams told Norwich City TV. "They have had little bit of luck that way and even they would admit that but if we put ourselves in that situation and if we would have done that then we will be saying, 'hang on we deserve a little bit of the credit'. "Yes they played Manchester City and Chelsea probably at a time when they were contesting the league or thought they could win the league. "Same at Old Trafford; we had sort-of the carnival and they had after the carnival." If they`d been trying for the league title they`d have been giving it their best shot wouldn`t they? Absolute bollox.
We got some luck at Chelsea but were a bit unlucky at City. No luck involved at United. How about our luck at Stoke? What about when Sturridge scored with his hand or when Nolan handled in the area against west ham? Over the season we've had more bad luck than most. Norwich were turgid at United, nothing to do with Utd being inspired. Just weren't good enough to stay up. Unlucky.
Aye or jozy's perfectly decent equalizer v arsenal or fulhams only shot on target on the opening day He's boiled my piss the ****ing clownshoe
First the points deduction and now this. Smacks of desperation to me. Trying to shift the blame that`s all. Pardew does it every week.
The geezer might only be a temp manager, but he's learnt all the crap lingo already. Why can they never just say "we were ****". While he's talking "lucky", he should consider himself lucky to have a job after the way Hughton was treated. He's a ****.
But that was great luck WMS! If Jozy's had counted and Fulham hadn't have scored, PDC would have stayed longer, GP would have had less time here and we'd be sunk! Silver linings mate, silver linings!!
Most of the Norwich fans I've come across have had no issue with us whatsoever. It is just a pity that their manager doesn't take a leaf out of their book..
Don't worry , Adams is going to sink without trace very soon. Norwich will have a new man at the helm for next season , Adams will be touting round the lower leagues for work. Is his wife really called Morticia ?
What a ****ing bellend. How about you're a ****e no-hope manager who helped take your team down coz you couldn't get your players to up their game and score goals
"Norwich City manager Neil Adams believes that Sunderland had lady luck on their side in the last few weeks, which helped them to avoid relegation this season." One of the most twattish interviews I've ever seen He shot himself in the foot, reloaded and shot himself in the other. He was lucky to manage in the Premier League, it'll never happen again.
Looking on the norwich board and the thread one started on here the majority of their fans seem sound But the board with the lawyers about Ji and now this is beginning to make them sound pathetic and sore losers The fans deserve better
How can he talk about our lucky run of fixtures when we probably had the most uneven, difficult and down right unfair run of fixtures spread out across the whole season!??? By xmas we were always gonna be in the bottom 3, even if we had played particularly well! We were never gonna win many home games before xmas and for a team like ourselves, home wins are gonna be key! From the turn of the year we were always gonna be playing catch up, and that pressure would get to the players when the 'winnable' home games came! This theory was coming to fruition, that was until the miracle happened!
