"Redknapp: Assou-Ekotto has not produced Manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that Benoit Assou-Ekotto has flattered to deceive since arriving at QPR." Spot on was refering to Harry openly criticising BAE's performances. Hopefully it gets a positive reaction from BAE. Cause like I said in the previous post, it isn't like he could care any less even if he tried.
Its premature to hold an inquest. The season's not over. These words might, just might, force Ekotto to pull up his socks for 2 or 3 huge games. And if it works out, Harry will be held aloft on high.
I suppose it was too good to be true. He's started playing up and it was a sorry sight to see tonight. Three or four players had to go and cajole, clap and hug him. Redknapp kissed and cuddled him too but he shrugged him off. Petty behavior from a player I'd hitherto liked. The mask slipped tonight fellas.
We know that AT was upset at not getting the xfer to PSG. He admitted himself that impacted his play for QPR. And I don't see anything wrong with how Ravel came off the pitch today. He is a competitor and wanted to stay on. More than anything - it shows a disdain for Redknapp; who probably lacks respect from the players - but that's just a guess from 8,000 miles away. Go R's! We have a chance!!!
I was only winding you up last week mate. Didn't mean nothing by it. You're the best Geezer on this Board Ninesy (Very good performance from the boys and Management tonight. Can't quite understand the negativity on the match thread tbh )
That's a very generous comment to make Swords. Thank you. I never take anything personally mate. But was that last comment aimed at me?
The negativity comment? Not a'tall mate. Its just by looking through the thread from the start, everyone (esp Sooper & Stan!) was complaining about the way we were playing but I was loving it! I thought we were exceptional. The most professional performance from us in a long long time. Wigan are a very good side and we contained them. Now we can go on and beat them at our place.
I agree, I think we will get and make certain comments on a match thread due to nerves etc. I'm as guilty as anyone of doing this. It's like you take on another persona during a game. I don't think that it's entirely plausible to hold someone to account on an in-game match thread as they would say things they normally wouldn't do outside of this. I was unusually quite calm tonight though. But I thought a lot of Stan's comments were valid during the match as far as I could recall. Of course, at the end of the day it will remain to be seen whether Harry has outdone our superior minds. That will remain to be seen on Monday night. I feel that he did fine tonight though.
