Wouldnt it be ironic if that point at Palace was decisive in our title race. Wont know until Sundays games. Good to see Kennys cup is half full Hopefully this kind of positive spin will rub off on the players and they put in a shift and then we see what west ham can do for us.
I said this immediately after the Palace game and a few times since. We still need a favour but the draw for Man City is no longer part of the equation. Had we not got that point, it would already be mathematically over bar a fourteen goal swing!
Pressure is all on City. Pressure lifted completely from our lads. Still think title is City's- but we have a huge psychological advantage now going into the weekend- stranger things could happen.
I don't think that is quite true. As far as the title is concerned, all the pressure is on Man City but our lads are under the cosh after their last outing IMO
I think the players will still be under pressure, but curiously I'm not any more. When it was all on us I was much more tense, worried about slipping up. Now I'm resigned to it. I just want us to win, and make sure we're second over the dull-as-dishwater Chavs, and wait and see if a miracle happens at the Etihad.
if villa can hold them for 60 odd mins then who knows... maybe carrol will kill hart with a dasterdly elbow get away scott free and west ham win 1-0... who f'n konws. 9/10 times this one is an easy win or city per league cup yeah but that 1 time in 10 added to perhaps a tiny bit of nerves might produce a shock. i am still enjoying it despite it looking like gerrard's entire career being now defined by taking his ey off the ball then slipping..
