Apparently Napoli have agreed to our terms http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/197077/Wilson-Palacios-nears-12m-Napoli-switch/
Forgetting for the minute that is's the Daily Fart, Levy would be bonkers not to accept £12m for Wilson. With Kiev in the running (£10m?) for Niko and JOH off to Wolves; just need to move a few others on and then we are looking at a nice little sum to pick up some decent signings
Sorry, forgot the ketchup: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...hce-planning-£5million-offer-tottenhams-jenas
I really hope we keep hold of Niko. The guy got us a vital 6 points last season on his own and then was left on the bench again. I understand his frustration at this, but with the congestion of games next season he would be a vital team player for us. (cup games and Europa)
Excellent if true. Sounds like we're picking up some pace with the sales and we'll have no choice but to buy NEW STRIKER soon! <shock!> With O'Hara gone, Wilson and JJ packing their bags I guess we might see us getting talks going for Parker.
A player with Niko's creative edge needs to be playing every week - but for some behind the scenes reason 'Arry doesn't like him (maybe his attitude in training) so I don't know if he can wait another year, with the hope that he may feature more in someone else's plans?
Also heard Niko could be off to Rangers or Celtic on a season long loan, cant remember which one it was, thats probably ideal because it gives him a years stage to prove to Harry we can make use of him. Saying that if an offer of over £12m came in I'd be tempted to sell...
We should have negotiated with Palacios as part of a deal for one of: Hamsik (Possible replacement for Modric - if the worst happens), Cavani or Lavezzi... Knock £10/12M off their transfer valuations and suddenly they don't look so bad!
The two i want us to get rid of this summer are Keane and Bentley. Levy is going to have to accept a massive loss on Bentley and with Keane, we made £8million on him dealing with Liverpool but we paid £12million for him and can't see us even getting half that tbh.
They're worth about £5m each I would imagine. But Levy's good at getting top dollar for players, so I'd expect about £7m-£8m for each.
I get the feeling at least one of them would be used in a cash-plus-player deal - the problem is trying to guess which club would want to take either of them in part exchange for one of their players. After all, would anyone take Robbie Keane in exchange for, for the sake of argument, Asamoah Gyan, Nile Ranger, Didier Drogba, Gabriel Agbonlahor...
Keane will probably end up at Fulham HBIC, so I wouldn't have thought that there'd be an exchange going on there, unless it was for Hangeland or Dembele. Both pretty unlikely, in my opinion. Nile Ranger's crap, by the way. £1m and he's gone.
Just doesn't suit the pace of the PL Luke, needs time, something you don't get on the pitch here. His end product isn't good either, good control, pace and trickery, but generally, then does a Walcott!
Dos Santos is a good player, but I think he raises his game for his country. If you could get him focused, find a system that suits him and a manager that he shares a mutual respect with and keep him away from the nightlife, then he'd be able to reproduce his form at club level. He really needs to mature a bit now, as he's in danger of throwing a potentially excellent career away.
