NEWCASTLE'S chances of signing striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga have been boosted after his mother revealed his 'desire' to play in the Premier League.

Boss Alan Pardew is unlikely to offer a permanent deal to Borussia Moenchangladbach loanee Luuk de Jong, after failing to score since joining in January.

But the Magpies have now turned their attention to Germany Under-21 forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The Hertha Berlin man has spent the last season on loan at Hamburg, where he's earned a call-up to the senior Germany squad after scoring 12 goals in 19 outings.

The Bundesliga outfit are open to offers in the summer due to the 22-year-old's reluctance to sign a new deal at the Olympic Stadion.

 

Could be really good news.

He's obviously got something special to offer and I don't suppose he'll cost an arm and a leg.

 

Speaking of arms... he likes his tattoos mind.
Him and Debuchy will most likely get on famously.
