West Ham, Norwich and Newcastle jobs are likely to be available within the next few weeks and I'm afraid Bruce will be linked with all three and for good reasons. I can see why they wouldn't happen; West Ham and Newcastle see themselves as top 10 teams and Bruce has never achieved that, apart from one season at Sunderland. Also, why would he go to Norwich in the Championship with Premier League and European football here? However, I'd be disappointed but not particularly shocked if he's not with us in August.
I actually think the European football thing will keep him here. Correct me if Im wrong but he's never managed in European competition has he? If we hadnt qualified I could easily see him going, I think he's privately royally pissed off with all the name change bollocks distracting from the job he's done.
I don't think that is the case with him, there is always some bollocks going on it the back ground with any club. I think he has learnt, better the devil you know than the devil you don't know. He is respected here by the owner, who credit to them let him get on with his job, by the players and the fans. If he was to leave it wouldn't be to the likes of West Spam.
The money launderer simply didn't want him, Gold and Sullivan offered him a new deal and Young told them to withdraw it.
Why? West Ham would be able to offer better money, a bigger club, the prospect of the Olympic Stadium and a plethora of talent both in their current squad and in their acadmy.
Yeah but they don't have patties or chip spice down south do they. He will stay here, where the culture is.
Short term job prospects? Owners who frankly are arseholes? He has stated a number of times, last night being an excellent example that he appreciates the support and freedom afforded him by our owner. I don't see why the stadium which will have zero soul or history attached to it would be a draw. That talent hasn't done them much good this season. Sorry, its a no from me Andrew.
haha, what like Downing and Nolan? WHU aren't a massive club, they're a club with expectations beyond what's sensible given their budget though. I can't see Bruce wanting to take on a club that sacks their manager for delivering promotion and midtable PL security in 3 years like....
WHU are supported by a bunch of fans, some of whom were spoilt by the football played by their teams in the 60's and 70's. It's history, they should get over it and accept they are not Real Madrid and never will be! How many times do we get idiots on here saying you are a club with no history, what have you ever won! It's in the past, its all about now. The highest WHU will ever get is Penthouse (in more ways than one!)
It's not their fault, they obviously have mental problems. How else can you justify thinking that your club won the World Cup?
Just ask Blackburn Rovers after they binned Fat Sam when the manager at Ewood Park. Would not be any surprise if Fat Sam was sacked though by Gold and co..
