That was Palace under Pulis not Swansea under Monk.
Liverpool under Rogers can't defend (When he came here he inherited a well disciplined defence that Sousa had drilled).
And Liverpool under Rogers were arrogant in thinking they only had to turn up for their final few games to win the league.
They have conceded 3 goals to Palace, Cardiff, Us, Stoke & 2 against Chelsea, Norwich, Fulham Man City, Arsenal
Lots of goals against weaker teams.

Sunderland are a better team than us right now and I expect them to beat us. I don't subscribe to the rubbish theory that they will win as our lot will mentally be on their holidays. Don't the Sunderland players take holidays as well?

In fact, they've got a far bigger reason to take their foot off the gas than us after experiencing an overwhelming relief at escaping near certain relegation. Didn't Gus Poyet do well for them?

It should be within our capability to get something from the game but honestly, after witnessing some of our performances lately when we plumbed new depths, I don't really have any confidence that we will.

I do think we will win on Sunday (Sunderland) but mainly down to momentum and that half our team is either loan players or at the end of their contracts. This is their shop window and way to push for a better deal. As far as our teams are concerned they are evenly matched. Got to say I like Bony though, some front man you have their!!

Think we will win 3-2 as the players will want to show monk how much they will work for him and run through brick walls when the chips are down .

Like they did against Southampton, Norway? or Palace or West Brom or Hull? Mind you, I hope they do.

Our team have been a right shower this season, and if they got off their miserable arses and put in a shift, then we should beat Sunderland with room to spare, but the performance again last weak against the Saints was disgraceful, our board will be in for a shock next season!.................<ok>

I would like to think so, but Borini knows our defensive weaknesses all too well, he will be looking to make his mark, that said we should be more than able to mark him out of the game with Britton and Dyer!.............<ok>

Maybe they'll put in a performance similar to Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Napoli, Stoke and pick up three points like they did against Cardiff, NU and AV <ok>

If not, we will lose, I'll be happy with a point to end the season.

Aye, it's pretty hit and miss isn't it? And, despite the three points, the performances against Newcastle and Villa were quite iffy. But like you, I think a point would be good to finish with.

I wouldn't play any of the players who might be playing in the World Cup.
    1) They might not give 100% for fear of injury
    2) I would risk them getting injured and miss out on the World Cup in a team that will be coasting

Ki was superb for the first 5-6 months of the season then just went downhill and seemed uninterested, he can be some player when he wants to be.
Will you want him back ?

Would i want Ki back ? not really, he is a tidy player but not as good as JDG , if JDG goes then there is a job gfor him to do here, i also dont like the fact that he has a contract clause that says he is gaurenteed 20 games a season , in no footbll club like ours should a clause like that be allowed, Ki is a steady eddy type player and in 2 seasons of premier league football has neither stood out or looked out of his depth .

Consdering we payed £5m for him he has not fulfiled his transfer fee, i suspect he was bought because of the potential commericial spin offs, Laudrup probably threw a massive spanner in the works by putting him on loan which was because he wouldn't Gaurentee Ki playing time apart from what was installed in his contract .

I think Sunderland have looked just as good without him and ive watched them play about 8 times this season , considering he is a £5m quid player to see that he hasnt been missed at Swansea and Sunderland says it all really.

    Nothing special plain and simple.

I have no idea how we will play on Sunday..that has been true for nearly all this season. I still have to pinch myself and cannot answer how we won 2 and drew 1 with the 'top' sides (we took 4 points off Chitty the league champions elect) and it has taken all season before we have started playing well at home in the league.

I suspect that Gus will break up the winning side, we have started with the same 11 for 5 games now, to give others a chance and maybe one or two young uns'. I suspect your new manager may do likewise (mind I know very little of your new guy..I am bemused as to why BL was dumped).

Both sides are safe and just waiting for the season to end..then some players will be heading to the WC..so no dramas or injuries will be uppermost in their minds
