I would have swapped him for a packet of m&m's last month! What the **** is going on?

It does beg the question about the previous 8 months but now's not the time to start sucking lemons!

    ............. he's a keep now? There, I said it!

Cattermole for me like, ran himself into the ground, gave everything, again.

Agree to keep Larsson though (I`ll own up to being very critical of him)

Had a love hate relationship with Catts, but, as Funk has reminded me previously, his discipline record has improved massively, so he's a definite keep for me. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, we are stronger when he's in midfield. Bridcutt is a good back-up for him, but Catts is the man for me.

But Larsson, seriously, wtf? Where have those performances come from?

Larsson, what a ****ing chip for the second goal! Exquisite!!

I get where you're coming from but I think he's just opened negotiations for a new contract on these last 4-5 performances.

And that's not a bad thing. We need a good core to build around, we don't want too many leaving.

Sorry Grandpops, I didn't quite say what I was thinking. I was suggesting that, instead of being shown the door, perhaps, and on his way out, that he'd given himself the opportunity of staying and signing a new contract.

Should have said "he's just perhaps opened himself a door to negotiations..."

    Guinness is kicking in. Apologies.

I must admit I have had to eat a bit humble pie. I honestly thought that all the loan players and players out of contract at the end of the season (Larsson included) did'nt give a **** whether we we went down or not. So glad they've proved me wrong

He`s certainly given himself a chance though, no doubt about that.

I too was highly critical of Larsson. No argument from me though that his recent performances have earned him another chance. Credit to him for that.

So no humble pie from me as I still think that his efforts up to a month ago that criticism was fully justified.

Yeh, agreed. And you could say that for most of the squad. The fact that 5 games and 13 points has transformed a season of 37 games and 38 points just raises so many questions about the whole squad. But, as mentioned earlier, now's not the time to suck on lemons.

The fact this squad has responded to GP in the last month or so should give him a shed load of ammunition in his upcoming talks with the board.

If Ellis Short doesn't grasp this nettle and back GP with his wallet during the summer then he's not the owner we hope he is. Surely he must now think he's found a manager he can go forward with!

Nailed it. The team transformed from zeroes to heroes in 5 games just does reflect the season. We can leave that one until the end of the season which has become rather boring now that we have a game left that we do not need.

I admit to being critical of both Seb & Clattermole but have to say that they worked their socks off over the last few weeks.
Always knew Seb had the ability but looked like the engine was done, somehow found the reserve tank of fuel.
Catts is the enigma for me, was immense last night, been massive over last few games, not much of a passer, scores in leap years only but he defo adds something, holding guy in front of back 4 has got to be his position full time from now on, just needs to work on his ball skills some more as I think teams try to pick him off.
