cheers. I think he could be a better bet in terms of his work rate and attitude. But then that comes at a price whereas JB doesn't. CMS can finish and I guess whatever league you play in they will do ok as long as they are provided with decent balls. With Adel (if he stays) and if you can have players like Routledge etc they will give any striker a decent chance of scoring.

That's fine, Thai. I'd settle for him only scoring the winning goal every other game....

What a load of tosh. Surely we can't be putting Bothroyd in the same bracket as lower league players as CMS and Tubby Holt? This guy has spent the majority of his career in the top flight and last season played for England.

Granted his goals per game ratio isn't magnificent, but anyone with any idea about football can see this guy has touch, vision, can head and scores goals. Would fit in lovely in our system. No brainer really.

I guess it depends on how you look at players really. Yes he has played in the PL but as far as I'm aware he hasn't been a major force. It's also ok having great touch and vision but he still scored less than tubby Holt and CMS didn't he and Holt has a very good assists record too. GH and CMS work very hard and in the case of Holt he has made some vital clearances/challenges in our own box in injury time. Maybe that is why we did so well late in games because the whole team were wanting the win so much. I just think (only my opinion of course) that if you could get in 1 or 2 players with that attitude it would really help.

Im not a big fan of CMS to be honest, definately not in the £3-4m bracket anyhow. Granted he runs about a lot and has scored a few goals in the lower leagues, but haven't we already got that in Jamie Mackie??

His comments have been fair enough, and he is welcome.
If there are no visitors from other teams we might as well go to a QPR only site,
the only one to have crossed the line so far is Phil.

Your pride still hurting after I told you Reading call themselves the RRRRRRRRRRR's because they are 'The Royals' and not because they are Reading? Must be embarrassing for you to be shown up in front of your own fans <laugh> So, to coin a phrase - F*ck off little boy and come back when you have something constructive to say - look on google for the word 'constructive' <ok>

PS - I hope you fail all your A levels, seems to me you can not think for yourself so it's on the cards.

And then you go and disprove my last comment, by rucking instead of ignoring.

Told you I would fight fire with fire and not accept abuse following a reasoned comment.
Time for you to get such idiots in line Northolt, they are making QPR fans look bad and a disrespectful.
It's not just 'visiting fans' that are fed up with such stupidity <ok>

If you want to ban me from here, then do so, not a problem for me but you will still have the problem of some of your own fans making this place unwelcoming and judging by your previous comment this is not what you want.

    I seriously doubt that <ok>

Northolt, I have said it time and time again. I have no problem with QPR or the vast majority of it's fans!

My advice to MVR would be to back off, the longer he continues (and he will read this) the more vicious and hostile I will become towards him and I will upset him far more than if I was to ignore him.
For whatever reason, he and andrew have decided it would be a laugh to 'wind up ThaiCanary'. No matter how much they may protest this statement it is true. However I will not get wound up in the slightest, I will simply be hostile in return.

What's the old saying - you get out of something what you put in? <ok>
Thankfully Andrew appears to be a little more 'likeable' in as much as he is not hurling abuse (long may it continue)

Nah, its just that you're not a Qpr supporter and have said nothing complimentary about our club (that i've seen), only snidey little remarks probably born out of the fact that we won the title last season. ;)

I do find it really tiresome to come onto forums hoping to read and participate in conversations about QPR and footy in general, only to find threads such as this, where I expected to read info and rumours on Bothroyd possibly joining only to be presented with a slagging match.
MVR, I've read so much hostility from you regarding fans of other clubs that really isn't necessary. From what I've read Thai's made some fair comments and you've laid into him purely because he supports a different club; the reason I don't believe it's because of his differing opinions is because I would hope/expect that you wouldn't treat a QPR supporter of differing opinions to your own in the same manner.
Thai, I don't condone anyone laying into someone else in the way MVR has, but equally when you "fight fire with fire", you can't expect him to just lie down and take it. I'm agreeing with Northolt here - just take the mature approach and ignore him. Comments constructive to a good debate are always welcome, whatever your team; if you have a valid contribution to make please don't hesitate to come back and share it with us.

And before anyone starts laying into young people, I'm only 20 but I can still be mature and enjoy a good footballing debate between people of all ages. Don't put someone's bad attitude purely down to their age - immaturity yes, age no.

It's a good arguement SH and I am plenty old enough to be able to rise above such childish behaviour. However, when I visit another board I do not expect to be treated like a bit of **** someone has stepped in to and such individuals need to be 'slapped about' a bit until they learn a little respect.
If he came face to face with me he would not be so brave and mouthy so why the hell should he be allowed to be on here? He is a class A cyber bully. No more, no less.

As I said, his type are giving decent QPR fans a pretty rotten reputation on this site but if you guys are happy to have such a reputation then let him continue. If you are not, sort him out.

It also appears that any comment that is negative in anyway toward QPR is 'stomped on', basically because it does not sit well with the QPR following.
Any comments I make are not made as a QPR fan, I am looking at things from the outside, so to speak, and see things differently. For example, this thread about Jay Bothroyd. I am not saying things about him just for fun! If he was linked with Norwich I would be very, very worried. He is not someone I would like to see at my club for the reason I pointed out. Now that has clearly upset some individuals but my comments were in no way anti-QPR or QPR fans, just my view about that particular player, his demeanour & goal scoring rate.

BUT.....................even if a QPR fan says anything that goes against the grain - qpr999 you treat him like a wum.
He is one of yours with a different viewpoint and you can not accept his views!

There is not alot that is good to say about QPR except they won the Championship.
They did not do it by playing free flowing, attractive football.
They did not have the leagues top goal scorer.
Yes, Paddy Kenny kept the most clean sheets which I have already acknowledged and applauded (guess you missed that)
    Your boardroom is in disarray
Neil Warnock, although I accept has been generally a different person in the last year, will never be liked by Norwich due to his attitude in his SHeff Utd days (somethings never fade away)
It is not possible to congratulate QPR on signing a player, as you have not done so.

So what is there positive to talk about from 'an outsiders' perspective? Do tell me please <ok>
