    Here's a challenge for you. See if you can find footage of MLT scoring against Luton in a friendly I think; may not be Luton but the goal was of that type.

    The player exodus predicted in the Sun today is pretty bizarre. Even a player called Diego Lovren is leaving, whoever he is. And J Rod is deffo off as well (good luck with the medical).

    The first goal in the hat-trick against Norwich in t'early days was of that ilk. He was very capable of scoring similar goals as Adam's vs Hull.

    Yes indeed, this goal is in that mix. Matty beats about 5-6 players, beating Andy Townsend twice [watch for Townsend's desperate tackles] before firing the ball in off the far post. Matty was probably around 22-23 at the time, not overweight, could run well enough, but still beat the opposition simply because they couldn't get the ball off him. It was a typical MLT goal.

    Howitzer blasts, Chips, Tap-ins, Precise Placed, Volleys, Free-kicks, Penalties, he could do them all and was pretty much the best at each discipline. He was a footballing genius, and that's damning him with faint praise.
