I read this differently to you, I think, Madness. I took it as a statement of intent from Felix to rebuild, not an abdication of responsibility from either him or the players. I don't disagree that many of the first team haven't shown the desire or quality we needed, but doesn't Magath say as much here? I'm not sure how this statement could have been different to make any of us happier, and if they hadn't put a statement out, the club would be open to the accusation of not caring. The season's been a disaster, but this statement isn't one!

As for Saturday, what's done is done, let's focus on the rebuild, not on recriminations.

Madness, I took this as a simple apology and basically saying theres going to be changes. Its a good statement in my view certainly not rubbing salt in the wounds. To be honest the wounds have healed now as they've had several months of realisation that we weren't good enough this season.

I hope there are no repeats of the disgusting behaviour from fans when they verbally abused Jol at the end of his tenure. Fulham isn't that sort of club and really has no place at Fulham either. Not that you condone that sort of behaviour ol son. I just hope that theres a decent atmosphere and we get a result.

Next year is going to be tough but for me FM is the man to get us back in the right shape to get back to the Prem.

I agree that we should not demonstrate such behaviour. But won't be surprised if some do display a level of anger!

My point about the statement is that there is nothing new in it!

What should have been in? Do you not think there should've been one at all?

No statement at all from Felix. Finish the season and I would like to hear Khan. He must have been prepared for this outcome...

I like others can't see how this is a negative, there was speculation about Felix leaving and he's nipped it in the bud. Although I'm fairly sure that Felix didn't write this because not once did it say the words 'Ze Zituation'. Felix is going to be here next year and is going to use the youngsters to rebuild, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.

Like most that was what I wanted to hear. I am disappointed we were relegated, but with Felix and the youngsters I think we can come back stronger. We have been declining since Roy left, what with the sale etc, so time for a new beginning - and Felix is part of that. He didn't have to say that - or the club. But at least they did.

Yes, absolutely how I read it and I thought it was positive. Would like some sort of statement from Khan to reconcile his next level statement when he took over. I presumed he meant next level up.

    Completely agree FI.

However, I do believe Madness' frustration ...

...is shared by many fans. I said something very similar in the 'Team v Stoke' thread, that Felix's team selection on Sunday will determine the atmosphere. Let's hope hope he lives up to his promise - "we owe it to you to put on a good performance that is worthy of your fantastic support"
