Whilst you may be worried that the Swans could lose their new starman this Summer, Bony still has 2 years left to run on his contract, and his representative Dalibor Lacina says Bony is happy to stay in South Wales, and that he respects the club for giving him the opportunity: "We are very happy with what he achieved in his first season at Swansea. "He`s happy to stay there and it was a good decision to go there. He appreciates that Swansea are the club who gave him his chance in the Premier League. "He will go to the World Cup in the summer and we think he can be even better next season. He has three years left on his contract and his situation is stable."

It's inevitable that the 25 year-old will be on the radar of a number of clubs following his goalscoring form for Swansea City in his debut season in the Premier League - scoring 24 goals - 15 of which in the League. Reports suggest that the Swans are asking for £20m for Bony's services in the Summer, but that price will have to increase if he can carry his goalscoring form into the World Cup in June, as clubs will be happy to pay that money for a player who can score for both club and country - particularly at World Cup level. - vitalfootball

Sounds good to me, as long as Huw isn't tempted by big money?......................<ok>

I really hope he stays at least one more season but we have heard this all before and he has said he wants to play for a big side so i will wait until he is penciled in monks squad of players before i will say he is definitely staying...I hope he does but i have a feeling he wont if certain clubs come in for him...

I would love Bony to stay but we had a £20Million+ player last season and maybe should have cashed in. Who knows what the future holds?
Personally, on Saturday I'd keep him out of the squad so he doesn't pick up some freak injury that could keep him out of the World Cup.
I can't see any of the others making much of an effort (Ben and Leon maybe).

If - and that's the word - the offer's big enough we'll sell, end of. I have a feeling (fingers crossed) that he'll be here next season as we'll get some offers but nothing big enough.

I'm not sure one of the "top teams" will take a punt as I can only see him being back up at one of those clubs and therefore they won't make a big enough offer.

But as with most things football, who the hell knows what will actually happen!

The trouble is the big clubs do have money to burn ,where we would consider the likes of Lukaka or Ba for example as a players we would love to have in our squad the parent clubs consider them to be surplus or ones for the future.Another example Utd paid £15,000,000 on Zaha then loaned him out .I obviously hope he'll stay but we've been here before and will continue to be a selling club ,but look at the players we've brought in and then sold on at (some may say )inflated prices then we've not done too bad .The trick will be to bring the home grown talent through and at the moment the signs are positive ,we have a number of youth playing at professional clubs which goes some way in justifying the money spent at Fairwood and Landore. This can only bode well for the future of the club and for local football in general .

Jenkins must be salivating. He can bank the money then blow a whole million quid of it on N'Gog in an effort to get in the top eight next season. :steam:

Whatever possessed Cardiff to go in for Cornwallis,or whatever his name was,and pay £8,5000,000.00 for the priviledge? <laugh>

At least NGog was a freebie/loan.

Arsenal are the only Top UK club who look like they may need a striker, i can imagine him being lethal holding the ball up for Ramsey ,Carzloa and Otzil to run into the spaces.

Hope he stays for one more season but i fear our bigger problem will be clubs from Europe rather than Prem league,as i said only Arsenal could really do with him the others seem to be ok up front or will be shopping in the £40m plus market.

Bony is worth £60M to us in reality as without his goals and play this season we would have gone down,i guess it will pretty much be the same next season,we must keep our fingers crossed that he stays but im sure he will go with everyones blessing, been a total pro from day 1 at Swansea in fairness to him.

Agree with your sentiments there,Norway, but if he does go,be sure that the hate brigade won't take long before referring to him as "that bstrd Bony". There's a lot of precedent for that, unfortunately.

I think that Huw will pull all the stops out to keep him considering we have a Rookie manager that the board will not want to undermine their prize appointment!..............<ok>

That's a good shout Dragon, pressure will be on the board, so keeping their best players is to their advantage. Can see Huw having many sleepless nights.

Chelsea also need a striker and Bony is very similar to how Drogba played at his best. Liverpool will also need one too when Suarez goes to RM in the summer and we all know Brendan likes to shop in Swansea ;)

Either way, we are in a win win situation as either Bony will stay, or we will get a shed load of cash for him to find a suitable replacement. If Bony did go, I'd use the money and tempt Chelsea into selling Lukaku.

Got to be honest, Dragon, I thought he might prove to be at least half decent for us. I was wrong.

I was hoping upon hope too, but when I looked at his stats and club history, I really did wonder what the hell was going on with him being brought to the Liberty................<ok>
