Yeah, why not this? We might even be able to get a newly promoted side to take him, and get him more Prem games. We paid a fortune for him, for me Ellis wanted an American (should have been Bradley...), but now we've paid, we must look at every avenue for a return, one way or another.
Have to say - re Jozy - watching him after he came on against Utd and, to a lesser extent, Chelsea, he looked a different player. It could be that the confidence currently residing in the squad is catching everyone - against Chelsea he should've shot with his left but dallied far too long - against Utd his endeavour just seemed much more..... errr..... more!!! Not sure how to describe it - I've said a few times I don;t rate him but I also said I'd like to see a confident Jozy in a confident Sunderland - I never expected either again this season when I said it but we are confident and he looks much more assured because of that
Yeh, thats a valid argument Funk. I just think Connors proved himself for next year, Fletch will go and probably Borini too, so we are going to need another striker anyway. But you and Gustavo and RaW believer both make valid points, especially the idea of getting him out on loan.
I agree, if we stay up, we do not want wholesale change, we need stability and a squad that the manager knows, so that he can build on what we have. Wholesale change is wasteful and risky, give the players time, they have all earned it, with their recent displays.
Reet been pondering this all day Keep Vito Brown (final year) look to replace O'shea (final year) look to replace Vergini Alonso Bardo (1 year) look to strengthen RB Catts Larrsson (1 year) Bridcutt Jack Giacc AJ Connor Jozy Ustari Ba The lad who's at hibs (name escapes me) Laing Can go Gards Fletcher Ki Borrini (not gonna get him perm, although you never know) Westwood N'daiye Diakete Roberge Buy Lukaku
We should keep Fletcher, he's very good when match fit and should come good again, it would be financially unjustifiable to sell him now.
£6-£8m off celtic and he can go for me, never been the same since he got injured playing for scotland
What I am thinking is we get rid of anyone who wants to go keep those who are prepared to fight for there place.never the less we wouldn't miss any single player who leaves.
I mean we could be very wrong and he could amount to nowt. I'm just sick of the way we do business, we always seem to end up worse off. apart from Bent and Hendo we don't fair well when it comes to selling at the right time. He's got plenty of contract on Jozy to make something out of him. Loan sounds good to me like.
Best post I've read on here for ages. IF we stay up we need to evolve - evolution not revolution, so we need to get some stable footing at the club Catts, brown, AJ, Bardo, and (maybe) fletcher and Seb need to be retained and we need to put better players around them We can't keep ripping it up and starting again Gus gets a new 4 year deal, and we introduce some stability to the madhouse
Gus has already said there is something wrong with the squad, we haven't been enlightened to the facts but i suggest its trouble makers, so i suspect Gus will move them on whoever they are
Everyone who Spanish said but not Bardsley, Vergini has to replace him now sad to say that, and wish him well in his career. We need only 3 quality players in plus Ki if possible.
